  1. Curt, Good to hear that it's just life getting in the way. I really want to try to hook up with you foilks this year, hopefully we can make that happen. Take care of the Boo Boo and we'll bere here to drive you nuts
  2. I have run pretty must all the major brands on the G2's and I like the Avon Venoms best followed closely by the Michelin Commanders. I do not like Dunlops, some folks swear by them, but I swear at them. They suck in the rain and track a tar snake like nobody's business. You will get LOTS of responces here, it all depends on what your looking for and how you ride.
  3. As mentioned, lets keep the maintenance simple. I think that rearend changes are going to be a bit much. Carbsync is a no brainer and there will be plenty of folks there with carbtunes and the knowledge on how to use them. Changing the fluids will be relatively easy, we can have a brake vac on hand. and there are many folks that have the skills to change out fluid. I want to add to all that want things done to their bikes. Have all the parts that you need to get the job done when you get there ie; brake fluid, wiring ect...This will greatly reduce the running around like chikens with our heads cut off. I know that I have killed myself for the last 2 years and this year is going to be different for me
  4. That is why this site exsists....good to see that you have used it to your advantage
  5. Here's a set on ebay similar to what I bought http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-Tour-Saddlebag-Liner-Bags_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1171Q7c66Q3a4Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a5Q7c294Q3a200QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem350160062488QQitemZ350160062488QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  6. One step at a time Chris.... Good hearing that it is just life getting in the way, no worries about not being here, just good to see your back. Do hope to see you at some of the rallys and M&E's, be safe and come back soon
  7. Tom, Dont feel bad, I can't go either....and it's still cold up here too. Congrats on the new house
  8. You mentioned the cramped feeling on the 1st gen, you wont have that with the G2. The engine is bulletproof and there are many G2's riding around with over 100K on them. My wife loves the comfort of the bike and gets mad when she can ride with me. I ride mine to work everyday i can and when we go on vacation, it's on the bike. I'll put over 20K on the bike ina year and my wife is over 10K with me. Definitely a bike you wont regret getting... I have had 3 of each gen.
  9. Murph, The Kuryakyn does have a rain cover that is installed in the bag, just wanted to make sure you knew that
  10. Too late, it's obvious that your a masochist asking a question like that here. "Queen Pot Stirrer"
  11. Dave, This is the 1st time I have ever heard of any problems with Larry's adapter. I have one of them and know many other folks that use them as well. Please contact Larry asap as I know if there is a problem with the assembly he will make it right.
  12. ....A G2 front rim for a project that I am scheming. Doesn't have to be pristine can have some scratches, but it must be strait and true. If anyone has one please get ahold of me and we'll chat
  13. Well you are OLD and they say the mind is the 1st thing to go
  14. I've been thinking of it too...David (Venturing Sole) has it right?
  15. Thank You Ron, and your boss also I do hope that you can be apart of the ride that we will take around October to give the donations directly to St. Judes...it's a moving experience.
  16. Cindy, I have said it before and will continue to....we are all behind you and the family. If you need us, just say the word.

  18. Now come on Bill....sell all of them Keep the wing and get rid of the rest. You know damn well that you cant get rid of all of them you'll go crazy.
  19. Scott, Saturday the 6th is the actual day that maintenance will be done, but it has grown into a 2 day deal as many of us show up on Friday and have an extended weekend. Lonna and I will be down there on Thursday night as we help Don set up for Saturday

  23. Newby....we'll be there
  24. We'll just have to buy a big enough house down south and have folks stay over. The door will always be open for all of the members .....but were still moving
  25. Earl, I have not seen him on the site in a long time, I too hope that he is fairing well with all thats going on these days. I'll try to get ahold of him and see how he's doing, if we can't get ahold of him I may start to make the battery cables again.
