I am holding the bike straight up. I made a block that goes under the kickstand and holds it straight up. works great, have to watch it because it can tip to the right very easy. RedRider yes I am in oregon and about 1hr and 15 minutes from astoria that is the northern part of the Oregon coast and than run 101 along the coast, makes for a great day. I am just out of Portland,Or about 31 miles NW. We had a great ride and the bike is running great.

Help, I changed the oil and used a ST7317 filter a little longer. The question is where in the sight glass do you fill it to? The top line or the middle between the two. Heading out to the beach this morning about a 400 mile ride and do no want to run it too low. I am just above the middle between the lines at 3 qts. The book calls for 3.9 with stock filter change. I started it and then let it set for about 4 minutes before I checked it. I put 3.5 qts in and there was not even a air bubble in the window so I sucked some out. Do I fill it to the top line? Thanks for you help. I,ll go check the tire while I wait for a reply.

Stock exhaust modification
OutlawRider replied to daxim's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Welcome to the sight. I to started out with four wholes at 12-3-6-and 9. Started with 3/8's and worked up, I ended up at about 11/16ths just under 3/4. It has a deep sound not to load. Wife thinks it is, would like to find a set of stock so I can change when she is going on a long ride with me, than put the others on for around town or when I am solo. Good luck. -

Ins. questions, Looking to change to Progressive. My question is how many carry PIP coverage. Is it worth what they want ( it is high) or do you just count on your medical coverage. Thanks for the input.

How do you pick this d***n thing up!!!
OutlawRider replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I was backing mine into the driveway and as I went over the hump from the street it went down. I went in to get the wife to come out to help. She was taking her time and I wanted it picked up before Everyone seen the bike down so I remembered the technic so I backed up to the bike, butt against the seat one hand on the handle bar grip the other on passenger grip and started backing up once it starts up it gets easier. I am 5'8" 165lbs average. Practice and you can do it. I am comfortable knowing I can pick it if I need to. Good luck. -

iron pony boyz, How was the rally? I have negotiations so I did not get to go this year. Weather looked like it was going to be better than last year. Last year we hit about every kind of weather except snow. -

Would like to see more pictures on the trailer, too. Looks real sharp from the back. Where did you find it, what make is it?
-
I would of went back with a cage and had venision for dinner. Glad your OK, Good riding.
-
It would be a goldwing

When you get to the point, just before the bike wants to hit put a block under the rear tire. The block will have to be long enough so whe the bike comes off it will not hit.It will raise the rear and you can roll on in. Take the block because you need to reverse it to get the bike out. Have a good trip.

I woundered why they did not put a grommet in the package when I did it. No chance of viberation wearing through to the wire this way. -
