I do no know if this the correct place for this. There is a Hells Conyon Rally at Baker City,Oregon on June 12-15 2009. For anyone interested in going you can look up the info at www.hellscanyonrally.com. I signed up for the first time. Sounds like alot of fun. I hunt in that area and there is alot of good roads to ride and alot to see. Maybe we'll see some of you people up there.Let us know and maybe we can set up a meet while up there. I have been told it is like a small Sturgius. We are looking forward to it.

Thanks all you guys. I'll put the sticking issue out of my head and just put some miles on it maybe it'll clear up and if it does not,'ll live with it. Once it does it, it is gone until it sits about a week again. Might just a catch with this bike not a big problem just wondered if it was going to be an issue but you all cleared that up for me. Thanks again.

Is it to early to put in the synthetic or should I wait until I go through the break in. Don mentioned Mobil oil what do I need to look for in auto oil that is clutch capatipal. Thanks for the info on the clutch hang up. Just a little cold and alot wet up here to ride everyday yet.

Thanks for the info squidley I'll have to pick some up I have to do the brakes on the wifes car might as well do it right. I have always put them in dry but if this help I'll use it.

It only has 217 miles on it. But I all ready change the oil at 200. I used Yamaha filter and yamaha 10-40 oil. I wanted to get break in metal out of the engine.

Good morning all. I found an issue. When I let my 08' RSV set for a about a week than start it up and put in gear it want to take off and than dies. With clutch pulled I hit the starter and it will go about 6 inches and than engage. Any ideas. Thanks. Richard:confused24:

Good morning all. I just found a cluch issue. When I let my bike set for about a week. I start it up and put in gear it wants to go and it will die. If I hit the starter with the clutch in it will go about three inches and than free up. Any ideas. Thank you. Richard:confused:

I came here because a freind told about the site. I was looking for info in Jan. when I was trying to deside on a Wing or the RSV. Got hooked when I heard all the info on maint. and related issues. I got hooked and been sitting in the back ground soaking up info. Just wish we were all closer so I could make to some of the maint. days to put faces with my new found Rsv family. -
Nice trike. Sounds like there are a few of you that have converted. They look good how do they handle in a city corner. Being a verly newbe I have not said much but I sit back and read alot on your threads. I have learn alot on how to do different things to my '08 RSV. Even got my Morgan Carbtune the other day. With the info Freebird and the rest of you have had on sync. the carbs I am sure it will be a walk in the park. Like most of you I hate anyone toughing my cars or bikes. I now what I do, I do not know what they do. Anyway nice trikes.

I had the same thing happen to my new '08. Turn on the key driving lights and every thing was bright. When I hit the starter it would click and go dead. Took the battery back to the dealer and it tested short. Put in the new battery they gave me and it started right up. I'll bet it is your battery. Good luck.

I put my battery tender lead out the right side and tie wrap along the frame so it is out of site but I can reach under the seat and hook it up. Easier on the right for me the way I park it in the gararge to get to.

Does anyone have a set of stock exhaust for a '08 RSV they want out of their shop. I am looking for a set cheap or cheaper. If you just want them gone before you throw them out I'll pay the shipping to get them out here so I can drill and try them. Let me know what you have. I want to do the exhaust mod on them and try it. Thanks

Has anyone tried six 1/2 inch wholes. Would like to know how much loader the extra two wholes would make. -
Thank you sqeeze for the info. Great link. Full of info I did not know. Time to twist the throttle. We all want to maintain full power and performance and longer engine life. Means more time on the road.

I have an 08 RSV G2. It has the stock pillow style seat. I was thinking of putting the RSV seat that is not a pillow. Does anyone know if it is a lower style seat. I only have 30 inch in seam and I have a little trouble sitting on the seat and pushing the bike back any incline. Thanks for the help.

Like BoomerCPO I bought my 08 RSV that was sitting on the dealers floor for 6 to 8 months it has a pop in the exaust. The dealer said it is because they set these bike up lean. I have heard other that do not do this. Will the seafoam help. It only has 150 miles on the bike and going by the book for break in. I am not to turn the throttle like you guys are talking about to get the seafoam to work. What is your guys advise. Thanks.

How does the Avon Venoms hold in the corners and how many miles do you get out of them. My 08 RSV has the Dunlops from the factory. It only has 175 miles on it now do to the weather.How many miles can I expect out the stock tires. How many mile can expect out of the Avon or Michelin.

I bought a 2008 RSV do they make an after market seat that sits the driver a liitle lower. I can not find one.
