    What's the best way to remove excess oil? I figure losening the oil filter is probably the safest bet. I wouldn't dare touch the drain plug. I know I'll drop it in the pan along with 3 quarts of fresh oil ;-)

    The sound will still suck if you don't improve amplification. The stock amp just isn't powerful enough. You will get clipping galore when you crank it up.

    Interesting. Et en français en plus! One little downside they mentioned is fuel consumption. In US gallons, it's 21 mpg when riding "normally", and 17 mpg when riding "aggressively". Let's hope a detuned version in the future Venture will get significantly better gas mileage.

    The battery should read 14 to 14.5 volts while charging, and 13.5 when you unplug the charger.

    The AMSOIL is fine. I'd hate to start another oil thread, but I'm sold on synth and like the AMSOIL but may try the Mobil 1 MXT4 next time because it is probably easier to get (and maybe even cheaper).

    I put in AMSOIL 10w40 instead of the recommended 20w40. Noticed the other day when I saw the container under my work bench. Strange I hadn't noticed before. Got a few 1000km's on it. Should I be concerned?

    My buddy bought a 2009 Road King. He misses his VTX1800 dearly. He said his HD spent more time in the shop in one year than his VTX in five. Plus it lacks power. Me, I'm on my fifth Yammy. Need I say more?

    Maybe the guy had loud mufflers on his motocycle and the guy with the mental problem got startled and acted out of fear. You know, survival instinct triggered by aggression from a perceived threat.

    I usually ride with a 3/4 helmet and usually listening to music. Today I went out with the half helmet and I couldn't believe how noisy that engine is. It's like I can hear all of the mechanical noises that are going on in there. Are they all like that?
