  1. :rotfl::rotfl: Man you can write. Let me know when your first book comes out.
  2. I'd buy another GL1800. Comfort, Power, Reliability Handling. And nobody would ever make me sell it.
  3. Sure hope you keep posting. Thought it was interesting reading. Of course I thought it was interesting reading the posts. Hope my post wasn't "south" because it was not intended to be. But your posts are interesting so I hope you don't stop.
  4. When the victim's family asks for leniency and they have already received restitution and seams to be satisfied the Judge has to listen. Isn't it about the victim's anyway?
  5. Wish I knew you were going, I just rolled in at midnight. Did you make it downtown? Tomorrow should really be good.
  6. My biggest fear is that this war will not end before the public turns on all the brave service men and Women that are serving our country and fighting for the right for all people of the world to be free. It does my heart good to see people in airports clapping for the servicemen coming home and the welcome they get from their hometowns. I remember coming home and having things thrown from cars at me, being spit at and being called baby killer. I go out of my way to shake the hands of servicemen and Women I meet. lets all pray that they come home soon. USMC Always faithful.
  7. Yes, Redwood Forest is a must see. My all time favorite is still US-12 from Lolo Montana to Aberdeen Washington. Every kind of road along this route and so much to see, and Northern Idaho is breathtaking. Can't forget Yosemite, I liked it much better then Yellowstone and Yosemite is number 1 on my list to see again.
  8. I was happy to put my face in front of a pie for a good cause. And I asked Abigail why she thought she would get in trouble. She said that wasn't it, she didn't want me to get hurt. I told Her that was a nice thought. Then She said if anything happened to me She would have to go live with her Mother and that would be awful. So much for the concerned Daughter worried about her Fathers well being. lol.
  9. Don't know what this "Shall Issue" is and yes in economics it is the armpit of the state. I rolled in at 10:00pm after being on the bike all day. The cars and bikes are out, Bars have tents up with live bands and/or DJ's, Restaurants cooking outside, churches selling dinners and people lining the road watching the rolling cruise. And this is only Wednesday. All sorts of venders have displays and dealers have their lots open for parking. Radio and TV stations are everywhere. Back to the Bricks gets a LOT of cars from the Woodward Dream Criuse. And it's all FREE. Just saying if you are in the area or want somewhere to ride and have fun for little or no money you won't be disapointed.
  10. I'm heading down by Grand Blanc tonight to watch, think I'll stop by the Hot Dog drive-in and see if I can get the scavenger hunt picture also. Haven't had one of their coneys in awhile.
  11. The one thing Flint does right is it's "Back To The Bricks" car show. It started today and goes on thru Sunday. 20,000 cars last year. It is well done and the rolling cruise every night goes from Flint to Grand Blanc so there are plenty of places to park and see the cars. Saturday they are at the Sloan museum during the day. Here is the link to the web site. http://backtothebricks.org/index2.html So if you find yourself in Michigan it is worth the ride to check it out.
  12. POR 15, I used it on a 1979 CX500 that had been setting for 11 years with fuel in it. Get the whole kit, cleaner, prep and sealer. The first time I "thought" I had it cleaned and only used the sealer and it pealed off inside. The next time I used all 3 like I should of the first time and it worked great.
  13. Rode the Dragon and the Cherohata Skyway for the first time Friday. Had a great time except there was a bad wreck on the Cherohata. A group of 11 riders had just went past the 5000ft scenic pull off and the last rider (66 year old Man) was looking over the edge instead of the road and missed the curve. He hit the gaurd rail and somehow was thrown off the bike to the inside and face planted on the pavement. Police and Ambulance had us and two trucks block off the road both ways for a medivac helicopter to land. Teeth gone and face a mess, and they think a cracked skull, but paramedic said that may help with brain swelling. Just hope he's OK.
  14. With everything we did on the trip all my Daughter will talk about is those two dogs. Caught the girls and the dogs in my room twice. "Dad we had the door shut. Don't know how they got in." Those are two tricky dogs.
  15. Just pulled in about 40 minutes ago, 10 minutes before a big storm let loose. The Daughter and I put 2468 miles on the old 83 and we rode the Dragon. Had a GREAT time at the Hub and meeting all the wonderful people. I'm sure glad those other two little girls were there, kept my Daughter busy. Thanks to the entire committee on a job well done.:clap2:
  16. This is driving me crazy, Sunny weather, bike all packed and ready and can't leave until Monday morning. Should be on the road by 10:00am and make it to Sullivan, MO. by 8:00pm. So see you all at the Hub around noon Tuesday.
  17. I was looking at laptops today at best buy. My computer is old and messed up and I've been wondering weather to buy a new PC or a laptop. The kid at best buy started talking in this strange language and I was lost. Can you download programs from CD's on these things? Can the Daughter play games on these? Can they do anything my PC use to do? Because it looks like to fix and upgrade my HP520 will cost as mush as a new PC or laptop.
  18. I had 2 keys for my 83, one long one worked in some locks and a short one worked in the others. I broke the short one last Tuesday. Went to locksmith and found out I had a Datson key that had been filed down to work and a honda key. Locksmith looked up my bike on computer and made me 1 key that fits all the lock and IGN. It's an ilco blank #YH49
  19. My Daughter and I are leaving Friday morning and taking the same route except at Huntsville we will be heading south east to Guntersville State Park if you want another bike to tag along.
  20. My Daughter and I plan on being there by noon Tuesday. Cannot leave until Monday morning. Plan on staying in Sullivan, Mo. Monday night and leaving at 8:00am for the Hub. But we will be there for the BBQ.
  21. The Great VR Scavenger is here now!!!!
  22. Put my Daughter down for an adult meal. She is 11 but she is as skinny as a birch tree but as she says "I don't eat no kids meals" So to keep me from knocking her up side of the head I'll pay for an ADULTS meal. Thanks....Karl....Boys are so much easier to raise.
  23. I vote to have "The Great VR Scavenger Hunt" moved and stuck in Fun and Frivolous like Don offered. Anyone else agree??
  24. In Owosso Michigan July 23-26 Is whats said to be the largest gathering of Steam locomotives in the last 40 years. If you are looking for a place to ride Friday or Saturday you can't miss seeing this. Here is the web site.... http://www.trainfestival2009.com/
  25. So glad he's been found and so quick. Something to keep in mind. When my Daughter was kidnapped from my front yard by her Mother and her boyfriend on a Friday evening I called the local Police and they would do nothing. (I have full custody and had my papers to prove it and paper from protective serves to keep her away from her mother) Pontiac police (where she was taken) was ready to arrest them but could not until Genesee township police signed a complaint. (they would not) On Monday morning I was at friend of the court when they opened and they got things going. The first thing they told me was that I should of called the State Police first because the State Police will go after them now and sort it out after they find the child. It was 3 days of hell. Good luck in court, Genesee County dropped all charges against my ex.
