  7. I always where my thongs on my feet, maybe that is the problem?
  8. Hey Don, Been doing my best to keep up, sounds like things are going fairly well. So glad to hear that, will continue to keep you and your wife in my prayers as you continue towards your victory over this battle! God's richest blessings, Norm
  9. First off, my helmet is off and I kneel in homage of your years of experience and continued youthful approach to this ride we call life. That said, I was invited to be part of the AARP two years ago so how come I'm too young to be part of this group??? What's up with that? I can honestly say that between my wife and I we hit 102 this year, that get us in?
  10. TJ, I have been reading RR for a number of years now and I think you might soon be addicted. The pic's are great, less than normal advertising and mostly about rides. One of my favorite read's. Hope you enjoy.
  11. Steve, Noticed your thread and I have both a Mustang on my 98 RSTD (with adjustable back rest) and a Corbin on my 02 V-Strom. Of the two the mustang is a clear favorite and was from the get go. The Corbin is as advertised, great form but really hard and only now after about a year on it am I finally getting comfortable with it. The Mustang is also expensive (but what isn't) but was clearly a comfort and longevity extender in the end (pun intended). Rick was also spot on that a mod is more economical and clearly tailored to 'you' so that may be the best way to go, I will probably try that on my next bike. Good luck, isn't customizing great!
  12. OK, this is like totally cool, sort of the same process I use when viewing those weird pictures that suddenly become 3-D. But my question is this, when I do it and succeed I get three pictures total and the middle is 3-D, and I am not drunk! Is this normal or just me?
  13. The togas at the cleaners from the last time I took it out!
  14. Thanks for the thoughts Bill, couldn't have said it better. Have a Happy, happy and always keep the dirty side down.
  15. Looks great. Did the same trick with my 98 RSTD that has a similar paint scheme as yours. I have the bike in the classifieds so if you want to take a look you can see it there. Painting wise I believe two tone is the way to go. I did all my own painting using rattle cans for the black but had to go to a auto paint store to match up the grey. Keep working on it, you will do well and add the pride of having done the job pretty much on your own.
  16. Jay, Took a look at the site and will say the helmet 'looks' good. Am assuming it is mail order only? If not I would certainly check for a local dealer if possible or see if they plan to have a vender at any shows you might be able to visit. Absolutely nothing better than placing your hands on the item, especially for proper sizing. I am using the similar designed Nolan N-1 and have used it for about 2-3 years. It is a very good helmet, I love the drop down tinted visor however can see the benefit in one that is actually internal (vs external on the Nolan) as on the one your looking at and also the new HJC that has an internal drop visor. Additionally, the hands on allows you to give a better judgement on overall quality a picture can't. How well built is it, internal feel, hinge movement, etc. On the Nolan I really like the double latch lock on the rising chin bar, covers possible release during an actual accident. Experience has also shown that often times price is indicative of fit, feel, operation, quality and protection. Like a buddy of mine says, "If you have a nickel noggin put it in a nickel helmet". If you decide to get this one keep us informed as to your experience with it, it very well may be the deal of the day. Best of luck.
  17. Was at the Wal-Mart eating a burger in the parking lot siting next to an 86 VR when its owner came back to leave. Struck up a conversation and talked about the 85 I had owned a fe years back. Was introduced to 86er and he told me about the site. Visited once, signed up then went away a couple of months. Came back and am now hooked, good times.:banana::banana:
  18. Jim, Will be sure to keep you in my prayers for your tour, keep a sharp eye and return safe and sound. Blessings, Norm
  19. Unfortunately work over ruled play time today however my son got out for a few hours on his zx-9 and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. I did get out some yesterday but as luck would have it found a few showers to bring things back to reality. More riding will be done over the next few week though, rest assured.
  20. I believe the point being here is not whether you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays but more so the intent of the issue. No matter what your personal belief system might be the only reason we take off and practically shut the nation down on December 25th is due to a religious celebration. The birth of Jesus is the focal point for the holiday just as the first day of the new year is the reason we celebrate New Years Day. You may not think that much of Martin Luther King however again with out him and his contribution to society we would not take another day off in mid January. The point here is that when PCism dictates policy and forces individuals to maintain any particular position, then the lines of personal freedom are trampled on. Say what you want (with in reason I hope), but lets not forget why it is that we celebrate this particular day. Thanks for the thread!
  21. CHEWY most definetley, a cute Chewy though!
