Modern Day 1st Gen

What about this one? http://users.skynet.be/eurotrash-topper-wings/Wings/1gw1800wheelie.jpg -
It's gotten ridiculous! Just one generation ago medical bills were actually affordable. A person with any age on them can't go into business on their own anymore, because they can't buy med insurance..

The "you're kidding" remark was because you were asking if there was anyone younger here. I think it's great that you chose a touring bike.
-
You're kidding right?

When I saw that speedo I thought it might be real for a second.

How can a credit card company raise your payment? I thought what you paid depended on what you had bought that month. I've never had a credit card, so I'll admit I'm not very knowledgeable about them.

I lost my Dad to smoking and more friends than I want to count. All because of a legal addiction. I guess I should stop right there, it's a very personal thing for me. Suffice it to say, I'm glad to see anyone kick the addiction. The best of luck to you... Just remember you're strong enough to beat it.

I bought an intercom from Sierra Electronics and I love it, but even though it mounts under the seat out of the way there are wire connectors hanging out from under the seat and it looks awful. I'm wondering if any of you guys who are more creative than me have come up with a way to make it look like those wires belong there instead of looking junky. The wires I'm speaking of are the ones your headset plug into, and that the Ipod plugs into. Thanks for any and all suggestions. JT

Fine example of Yankee engineering. -
Thanks! I should have added that if you follow the link. You can click the button at bottom right of the slide show to stop and enlarge any of the pics.

I've been woodworking for several years. I have built most of the furniture in my house. I also like working with metal. I have made a couple of hand planes. Here is a web page I made where I show some of the stuff I've made. http://Jimswoodworks.org

Thanks Dingy! I love hardware stores....

Anyone live near Dover Oh? I would love to go there sometime to see the Warther Carving Museum. It's just something I'm interested in since I do woodworking. I would like to plan a trip there sometime, and I'm wondering what else is there to see or do in the area.

That's funny, I picked one up at the local dealer and they just gave it to me. I had it cut at Ace Hardware and he didn't charge me anything since I had my own blank.

Hnadle bar Adjustment
eazyduzzit replied to starkruzen's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
You've got the wrong bars. The correct number is 650-08783 for the RSTD. Do a search on this number and you'll see. -
Hnadle bar Adjustment
eazyduzzit replied to starkruzen's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I don't think you can install a riser on an RSTD, because of the way the speedo is mounted. I replaced my bars with a set of Flanders bars with a longer pull back and didn't have to get longer cables/hoses. I looked into a riser before I bought the bars, and didn't find anyone who made one. -
I know... Some guys at my work did the same thing, and they wouldn't listen to anybody. Now they think that someone took their money, even though they were the only ones who had access to it.

I am right there with you. I'm about where I was pre-crash, but not where I would be if the crash had not happened at all.
-
What do you mean, you lost it? Did you withdraw while it was down? I lost nearly half of mine too, but it's back up now. Have you checked it lately?
-
I'm sure that I'm not the only one who lost a ton of money last year in the stock market. I was down about 30 thousand dollars. I've always heard that you should buy when stocks are low, so I kept buying when it looked like the bottom was just gonna keep getting lower. I just checked my balance today and was pleasantly surprised to learn that I'm back up to about where I was before. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope everyone else is making a comeback too.

Well, I'm happy to be off work for a week, and to be out of that rain. It was terrible riding through the mountains. It was after dark, and pouring rain. I'll never do that again (on purpose). I'll put it off until the next morning. It's supposed to be nice down here the rest of the week, and theres lots of chrome to look at.

Well, Karen and I rode 650 miles south through the cold and rain to get to Daytona. I woke up this morning and it's 50 degrees outside. I heard that it's some kind of record cold snap down for this time of year. I'm ready for some warm air.

My heart is with you. What happened to your son is one of a parent's worst nightmares. Hopefully your son will be OK emotionally after all of this.
