does it get moved because of excess heat? would it cause a misfire and stumble coming off idle when it gets hot? -

wkoepke replied to wkoepke's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Gary, thanks for the help, bike runs great when the jets are right! scudrunner, #80 jet is .031 dia. and the main jet is #125 .050 dia. I checked them with my gage pins that are minus .0002. hope this helps, bill -
can someone PLEASE tell me what size jet goes in this block? have two that are .030 dia. and two that are .050 dia. also what size goes in second pic? thanks, bill

check where the steering box bolts to the frame. both of our yj's rusted there and can make handling a little interesting.also check the spring hanger mounting points for rust.

i have that same one. works well, set at 4.5 on dial. make sure you start it with the dial on zero and return to zero when you are done. takes a few minutes to warm up, but when it is you have to keep moving. just like anything, you have to get the feel of how it works.make sure to grooveout crack with dremel tool first so plastic was a place to flow into. after weld cools you can sand with no problem. turn dial back to zero and let it cool down before you shut it off.

i do tend to slide forward on mine, mostly when stopping. it is a little firm, but much better than the stock seat. -
