Been there 5 times now, love it, going to stay in town again some day but room price keeps me in VT., half the cost. One tip , if you'll be there for the whole event get their package, worth it. Otherwise if just visiting for a day or 2, wing it and pay as you go.

I did a ride from Pt. Huron to Niagara Falls last year, back roads mostly, and didn't have any problems with getting gas. Thats further than going to Kitchener. Just stopping when nearing half tank left wasn't that bad. There was a heat wave when I did it, 100* plus was a killer. Nice area, I'm thinking of doing the rally but wife wants to do Pa. dutch area. Weather will be deciding factor when time comes.

Have had 5 bike deaths in last 2 weeks in my area. let's be careful out there, mostly all biker at fault. We all to be extra careful on the roads, everyone knows what we endure mixing it up with cagers on the roads. So not all of them give us the extra room we can use, leave the showing off to the pros that get paid for it. There is no where that we need to be that we take chances to cut a cage off to get to where we're going faster. Enough said.

REK58, I'm from Mass. too, what town you live in. I love my venture, I'm tall and it fits me fine. I do 150 mile trips all the time, and have done 1 to 2 week trips and it handles the trips great. HD's never seem to fit me, looked at vision but never got a chance to ride one, the dealers do have a test ride program i'll do it some day. I got my ride cause money was a issue at the time, but I'm really happy I went venture, its great. This site is a wealth of knowledge too. Have met a couple of other riders here, great people. May do the canada ride-in in july, will do americade in june, hope to meet you , I know everyone welcomes you to ventureriders.org, stop by often if you can.

Liked all of your input on ideas, telling them to observe this site was best, then they could see for them selves what the are complaining or praising about their venture product. To me they a good product but their marketing of it sucks. I can't begin to tell you how many people, riders or not I have to explain to what I have for a bike. Telling them a GW, but a Yamaha version is the easiest.

Niagara Falls, NY is a must see if you never been there, then cut down to rte. 20 across NY goes right thur finger lakes, nice ride, small towns, you could be only ones on road at times every one rides the thurway, wife and I take 20 across NY when ever need be. Do Rutland area couples of times a year, nice , Mt Washington a must see too., I won't ride up, but there other opitions. Pyro is the guy to talk to on NH. area.

Too late but my old windshield may be good for you. Just got new short one yesterday, will let you know if old one good. should be, close to you we could meet up by Hartford area. Could still swap, I'll look over mine in morning.

Got 2 machines with vista myself, have put it on a few more, I sort of like it. I would say shut some of the extras down, and you'll see the difference. Vista basic is junk. Premium or ulitamite is the way to go. I have a tip sheet that may help attached.[ATTACH]14266[/ATTACH]

I do computers as a hobby and I always run into that kind of spy-ware. CCleaner is free, from their web site, and it cleans what it finds, so you downloaded a trail verison of its pay verison. So get the free verison and you'll be all set. Spy-bot is good, real good but being free it doesn't get everything. A pay program like spysweeper from webroot used along with spy-bot is what I use. Its $10 to $30 a year with rebates at most stores, even at $30 its worth it. I'd say unless spy-sweeper says you're clean you're not in my eyes. I've found that with these nasty spy-ware programs when you're done if you're just starting to use anti-spyware programs it works best to just do your machine over, do all updates, install spy-bot and spysweeper, and you'll be much better off. I'll help anyone if you email me. Don't have cds I can help there too. Just trying to help out, just speaking from experiance.

I for one am interested in how the testing goes, got cut off then they stopped for a left turn. Kind of scarey wiggling your rear end and you have to stop cause there is no other opition cause of traffic.

Should look into Lake George first week of June, they have Americade then. All touring bikes, check out www.tourexpo.com for info. You don't need to register, you can just blend in and enjoy the scene, unless you do the whole week, then register its worth it then. great area for riding

The tx thing shows, one thing does happen thats wierd, my hand held cb talk bar goes solid across like I'm using it to talk.
