had my surgery Thursday home on Sunday, lots of drugs in the hospital, didn't help the pain much (you don't know how many times you use the muscles in the stomach area until there's a hole in them and it hurts every time you go to set down get into bed etc.) last nite was terrible slept in the deck chair (only place I could get comfortable). hope tonite is better. every time I look at the RSTD it just gets worse! out of work for at least 6 weeks, needed the vacation, but I can think of alot better ways to get it. I'll lurk around till I can throw a leg over. then maybe make up for lost time. all ya'all take care and ride safe!!

I'm having my Gall bladder out Thursday and I have a question for anyone who has had it out the old fashion way ( they have to do a biopsy at same time and that's near the liver) Laproscopic is out. I just wonder how the recovery went. This is my first major surgery and getting a straight answer from the doctors is tough. I know the RSTD gets parked for awhile. WebMD sayes 4 to 6 weeks -- truth? How about all the other things food, pain activities Etc.? Thanks up front

May 18th brought my 13th grandchild. Her name is Emmah Nicole weighed 7 lbs 14 ozs. 21" long mother and baby doing fine BTW my oldest grand child (now 20) and youngest Emmah have the same Birthday

I wear a helmet (1/2) North Carolina sayes so, having said that ,I'd probably wear one even when not required but If you expect a helmet to save youe life in an accident well you just haven't read enough. for every "fact" about helmet saving lives there is another saying it not so. Just think you're out there on a 900 lb motorcycle and your sharing the road with vehicles that weigth between 2500 lbs to 40 ton and you count on 3/16" of plastic to save your life wow that's faith!!! but my life depends on how well I avoid those 2500 lb to 40 ton vehicles. plus if a helmet saves my life and turns me into a quadrapegic I want no part of it. Now all that protective gear you wear will save your skin but in an accident it may just allow you to have an open coffin!!

I didn't like it either to oilly takes forever to polisn out honda spray is still avaiable (different name and different properant but still great stuff works on all surfaces on the bike 10 minutes to a great looking bike

Mines coming out as soon as I get off the plavix (june 22) and while he's in there he's going to take a piece of the lymph node next tp the liver to find out what kind of cancer it is ( they missed with a needle biopsy awhile back) so I feel your pain and I guess I'll be looking for new things to eat also

In this country one group or another is "offended" by the word of another group. I for one have found no place in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independeance that you have a right NOT to be offended. This is a PC world gone mad. The thin-skinned nature of people is just another way to control the behavior of a group of people they don't agree with. ---shut-em up and I win----. I for one know the power of prayer I'm dealing with 2 types of cancer, a heart condition, prostate problems, I'm going to have to have my Gall bladder removed, knees are bad now having all that I'm still upright, I go to work daily and the treatments are worse than the disease and that's literally because I have 1000's of believers praying for me. So if your "OFFENDED" get over it, the world ain't fair!!!!! Now having said all that this forum isn't to discuss Politics or Religion (there are places for that) But if too thinned-skinned to read past a prayer request than you have real problems, your weren't born king of the world and other people have rights too!!!!! I am "offended" by murder and mayhem in the name of religion, the behavior of our so called leaders (at all levels) etc. but I'm not King of the world either down off the soap box and I'll stop

A man and a woman were asleep like two innocent babies. Suddenly, at 3 o'clock in the morning, a loud noise came from outside. The woman, bewildered, jumped up from the bed and yelled at the man 'Holy ****. That must be my husband!' So the man jumped out of the bed, scared and naked, and jumped out the window. He smashed himself on the ground, ran through a thorn bush and to his car as fast as he could go. A few minutes later he returned and went up to the bedroom and screamed at the woman, 'I AM your husband!' The woman yelled back, 'Yeah, then why were you running?' My wife, and frieind and his wife, and I rode in the escort from Charlotte airport to the funeral home about 2000 bikes the procession was over 9 miles long stops in Concord SFC Shue was born there then on to Kannapolis the city he was raised emotional beyond anything I have experianced in my 60 years on earth. It's hard to deal that 58,000 young men died and I'm still here. then later today went out to the grave tears and a saddened heart that this young mans life was cut so short he was just a few month past 20 a year older than I he'll forever be 20 and here I am 60 why? -

Well Friday is another biopsy, 6th since 11/08 they'll be taking a chunk of lymph node out of my neck. Not so worried about the surgery but the results will determine the length and strength of my future treatment (for non-hodgkins lymphoma) chemo and radiation scare the crap out of me. when Diagnosed the Dr. said I'll die with it not from it. Now things are changing. so put a good word in with our Lord. I believe in the power of prayer, so all will be appreciated

Group of friend and myself are headed to Boone , NC today, be there about 1200 maybe 1230 we're goning to eat at the Danial Boone Inn. Last comment (Iknow there will cheers from a few) but there has been no dicussion only people saying they don't mind being stopped fine, I don't mind being stopped as long as it's accross the board I just hope this isn't one of the first steps in cracking down on motorcycles (along with the others I've mentioned)
