  1. Not nearly that far. Only 1528 miles according to mapquest. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/Houston+TX/Kitchener+ON/
  2. Well, I guess my experience with the 404's is the exception here as I have had nothing but good luck with them. I've worn out four sets and have run them for 14000 to 16000 miles. Of course the closer they get to being used up the poorer the handling gets especially on wet road but that's probably the case with all M/C tires. I'm a WWW fan and so my choices are limited. I did try the Avons with the smaller front tire but I wasn't as impressed as others. Never got a chance to wear them out so I don't know what kind of mileage I would have got out of them. I wish they would make the WWW's in the stock RSV sizes so I could give them another try. SW moto tire has stopped carrying the Avon WWW's for some reason.
  3. Don, When I got home last night I couldn't get on the site using my regular book mark. Kept getting a message from you saying the site was down. This morning I got the same message so I Googled VentureRider.org and was able to get in and I book marked that and haven't had any more trouble.
  4. Thanks Bill, Linda and all the others responsible for the great weekend M&E. I had a great time and found out that I can still ride. We took the long way home by way of Louisville KY and put on about 1750 miles. Got home last night about 8:30. It was great seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones too.
  5. WE made it. Got here at the Best Western at 3:30. All is well.
  6. We're on our way. Made it as far as Lafayette Indiana before the rain came so we stopped for the night. Not doing too bad. My back side is a little sore and my left shoulder too but other than that everything is going fine. The bike is working great. First tank of gas, 200 miles on 4.2 gallons. Not too bad I'd say. See you tomorrow.
  7. Is this what you had in mind? http://www.imc-motorcom.com/content/products.php?catalog=1_3_2_29&language=en
  8. Well, another chapter is closed. Since I don't have all of my go power back yet and my enthusiasm for many things just isn't the same anymore, I decided to take your advice and let the bike go. They came to pick it up this afternoon and very unceremoniously pulled it up on a flat bed, skidding it up the deck on it's side. I'm glad it's gone and I don't have to look at it anymore.
  9. I was able to put H.D. fishtail tips on my Bubs. I would think any of the tips available for the Harley mufflers would be just as easy to use too. Just takes a little back yard engineering to make them fit.
  10. Catastrophic wreck 10/17/07.
  11. The guys in those pictures sure look familiar. The guy on the red bike never cleans his wheels.
  12. Has anyone had any luck trying to shorten their XM antenna wire? Mine was broken in the accident so I figured I had nothing to lose by cutting it shorter and trying to reconnect but it didn't work out for me. Man that is some fine work for these old eyes. I soldered the main wire in the center, covered it with liquid tape, pulled the shielding back over that and soldered it, then used shrink wrap over the whole splice.
  13. "Would you buy a RSV again" I would and I did. No better bike out there for the price IMHO.
  14. Spear, You probably need to snip a couple of ties behind the fairing and/or move the clutch and brake cylinders a little on the bars. Be careful of having a bind at full lock turns. You don't need the throttle sticking in that situation. After your done turn the bars all the way to the right and left and turn the throttle and see that it returns easily on it own.
  15. Arriving on July 6th. Landing pad reserved for the shuttle, registration fee sent, door prize tickets ordered and T-shirt requested.
  16. "Time to Thank Freebird" Well said Tom, message received, donation sent.
  17. Bill, I'm planning to leave with my buddy (Goldwing Barry) next Thursday. We'll be there for the weekend. All weather permitting of course.
  18. Thinking good thoughts for your wife and you at this time. Stay with her and let her know that you love her.
  19. Looks like it's made to straddle a standard motorcycle jack but with the adaptor I use on mine to lift the RSV it wouldn't work. Why not just leave it on the jack? Then you can roll it to where ever you want it. Carbon 1 makes a jack adaptor with legs that would do the same job but it doesn't have wheels to move it around once you get it up in the air.
  20. Sonny, When ordering from the States see if they will ship via USPS (post office). That way you don't have to pay brokerage fees. Only a $5 handling fee plus 13% taxes. Some sellers will and some won't.

    Help me

HI Joe, Our local Car Quest has it on the shelf. Maybe yours does too?
  22. Have you tried leaning on the corner with your foot? Worked for me.
  23. Only 180 miles for me, but I've only been riding again for a little better than a week.
  24. About the Shakespeare Festival http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratford_Festival_of_Canada http://www.stratfordfestival.ca/ As I recall most exit signs on the 400 series Hwy's show a picture of a gas pump if there's fuel available at that exit. Also a tent for camping and a plate with a knife and fork for eating. I guess they use pictures for all the folks who don't read English or French.
  25. Sonny, Here is where I got mine. http://treestumpmse.bc.ca/index.html They're in B.C. and sell in Cdn $ at par. Great service too. Their web site is a little hard to navigate but if I can figure it out anyone can. Here's the one I ordered http://radiantz.com/cart/index.html?c20.html&1
