  1. Congrats Keith!!
  2. I must be missing something, or just don't read enough. I have had no problems with my 2006. maybe I should add so far but it reaaly seems to run fine and do what it was designed to do. As for the room, I'm just a bit over 6' with a 34" inseam so quite a bit of my height is in the legs. Leg room seems fine to me. I do need to add a set of highway bars for rides longer than an hour or so but I've seen very few tourers of any brand that do not have them. I guess I had better go knock on wood after saying all this but so far so good.
  3. What a coincidence, I'll actually be in St.Augustine that day. I'll probably miss the meet and greet though. The M/C club I'm with is doing a weekend ride. Leaving from Kissimmee Saturday and taking Rte 1 and A1A up to St.Augustine, spending the nite and then leaving St.Augustine Sunday morning to do a loop through Jacksonville and back. If we get back to St. Augustine that early I'll stop by on my way back to Kissimmee.
  4. Funny even if I can relate or fall under certain parts.
  5. I'd like to get one of these also but they don't offer it in black cherry (06).
  6. I actually looked into the blue tooth idea since I was just getting ready to set up a helmet with headsets Nolan helmet - 250.00 J M headset - 99.00 Bluetooth receiver box - 250.00 All in all it was going to run about 600.00. I could reduce the cost of the helmet, I wanted a flip up full face and liked the new Nolan, and I could buy a lesser priced headset but still too expensive. Supposedly there is only one bluetooth box so they can ask whatever they want for it.
  7. No I haven't. Didn't even know about them. might have to look into them for a custom seat in the near future. Do you remember what their seat goes for and can you just get a drivers seat?
  8. Cool thats what I was hoping. After looking at the dealership I deal with for my Warrior I found what I believed were three price differences. Since it doesn't show great pictures I was hoping they were interchangable. My first choice would be to buy a good used one, I was just looking in case that fell through. Personally I find the pillowtop on my 06 way too soft. I have always ridden on Corbins and can't get used to the squishyness of the pillowtop, if that's a word.
  9. Does anyone know if there is any difference in seats between a 1999 RSV and a 2006. I am looking for a seat and just found out that I can buy a new 1999 seat, shipped to my door, for about $10.00 more than what some are being sold for used. Wasn't sure if there was a difference or not. Even from Yamaha they are different prices.
  10. Thanks guys. PM's have been sent.
  11. Yup thats it Squeeze. If you want to sell it just let me know how much with shipping. It would have to be shipped to 34746 in the States so I'm not sure how bad shipping would hurt.. Thanks.
  12. I am looking for a stock seat that will fit a 2006 Royal Star Venture preferrably in good condition. No pillow top or studs, just a regular seat. I'm hoping someone has one lying around collecting dust that they are willing to part with at a fair price.
  13. Got mine for free since they were just sitting on the shelf, $30.00 for clamps and $10.00 for the metal for the brackets and all the nuts and bolts. Can't beat $40.00 for a throatier sounding exhaust.
  14. There are those I ride with that would definitely agree with you. I have been told I'm mentally deficient but that doesn't stop me. I'm just getting started. Dave it was real easy. I was going to powdercoat the metal but since some of it was metal and some plastic, I decided to paint it all so there would only be one shade of black. I sanded it with 220 to thoroughly dull the chrome, 400 to smooth it and then painted. I used Rustoleum just because I have always had good luck with that brand. I also didn't want a high gloss so I went with semi gloss to give it a sheen instead of a high shine. Two coats of primer, sanding with 1000 grit in between coats and then 2 to 3 coats of paint. 15. Sent mine in already. Thanks Freebird.
  16. That sucks. It's amazing how banks in general seem to be pushing everyone away from writing checks. Just in the past few years, more and more people/companies have been refusing to take them. I guess with good reason.
  17. Home? Hell that's where I park the bikes. Royalty deserves royalty.
  18. If we already sent some do we resend them?
  19. Does anyone have a picture of their bike with the 9" one installed?
  20. There are many reasons I like this site besides just the great people that are here. Although that is the #1 reason. But lets look at a few more. On this site I found out that modifying a Road King muffler would give me a throatier sounding exhaust. By the way mufflers were free. On this site I found out which clamp would make my new mufflers look like factory replacements, along with part numbers. On this site I found detailed instructions on how to modify the mufflers and even diagrams on how to build the mounts. I modified my mounts a little but they worked perfect. On this site I found directions on how to remove the front fairing to grease the connectors and prevent problems. While the fairing is apart I found out how to wire in some aux lines for my MP3 player and GPS including part numbers, again on this site. Now while I had the bike apart I was also able to correct the one problem I see with my RSV. It has WAY to much chrome on it for my liking so that had to go. Headlight bezel, windshield trim, front fork protectors, front and rear blinkers, rear tail light bezel and license plate bracket, front and rear fender trim and the carriage for the trunk and side bags were all blacked out. The motor area being dechromed is next. So here is my slightly darker black cherry RSV with the RK mufflers and clamps and all the wiring for the MP# and GPS. Thanks for all the great info I've found, and will continue to find and pass along in the future.
  21. I have the memphis Bigshot on my Roadstar Warrior. Great shield and one of the only ones I've seen that look good on that bike.
  22. Will be there Friday and Saturday. My M/C does the Kilts and Colors ride around noon on Friday. Nothing like a bunch of bikers wearing kilts and their colors and riding down Main St.
  23. What size pictures are you wanting?
  24. Sorry to hear about the wreck but glad you're around to tell us. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  25. No Mike I mean have someone pick 5 general places. Yamaha dealership Church Amusement Park Water front Train stationNow everyone has to get a picture of their bike and the places. Since everyone is spread out there will be different specific places but as long as they fit into the category it's good. Your picture would cover number 4. By the way those 5 choices were just pulled out of thin air to use for the example, I'm sure someone can pick out five locations that might be more picturesque.
