    Thursday, June 26, 2008, is the first West Virginia Skid-In began! Tune in later for more details, pics, and more interesting stories, as the "Rest of the Story" will follow..... I am excited!

    Not sure yet Lew, the poll shows approximate numbers in the low 20's, but that is probably closer to being a bike count..... so may double that. I'm already starting to see a few members showing up, so I'm getting all excited!

    We'll be waiting Dan, but unless you are coming tonight, I think a few Northerners has already beat you here..... Craig, Thanks for the offer, we'll see what happens. I'll wait to see if everyone is having a good time before passing the hat. As long as everyone has a great time riding, I figure it will be well worth it. I will get a little better after this first time. This will not match the great Vogel Rally, but he had a couple years to improve it. I hope to be in the extented four day Meet & Eat section. :GREEN:

    That is the same as murder in my opinion. Knocking over a man bike! At least an attempted murder...... if he is caught he should be hung from a tall tree with a short piece of rope!

    Ok I know someone here should have a idea to where I can get a good deal on a new helmut. I was thinking about a new AC-3. My wife is needing a larger helmut. So should I let her have my large and go buy me a new helmut, or just buy her a new one now? Also feel free to offer other brands and where to find one...... I'm open minded.

    That is beautiful country, I am wanting to go west very bad...... but the gas mileage, did you leave the parking brake on? welcome back, glad you're home safe.

    My wife has fallen asleep several times. She wakes up about time I make a turn. I can always tell when she wakes up because she shakes the bike and ask "where are we?"

    Silverscrew, I got the Fork Brace from Condor who made arrangements from a dealer for a special bulk rate. I think it might be too late now to order but here is the thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21411 Dan, I'll talk with the CMA member at our meeting on Saturday and get you the number.... You're welcome to join us Saturday morning at Shoney's. Meeting starts at 9:00 a.m., but I'll be there around 8:00 a.m. to have breakfast before the meeting..... After the meeting if weather permits we are taking a little ride for a while.

    Ok I finally got time this evening to install my new Fork Brace. I got the black and I suppose it doesn't look bad. A little different, but I'm glad I went with the black, maybe just to be different. So far I haven't got to test it out yet. I only got a short ride in this evening and didn't get to try out the top end yet, but I will be soon. I'l proide an update later to see if my wobble is any better. (Thanks Condor)

    I saw him last year at Vogel..... and I heard he was at Don's this weekend. Where have you been Dan?

    Ok, I don't believe I over tightened the bolt but it is definately snug. The nut on the back side is a lock nut. The original bolt was silverish in color, but this new Yamaha bolt is green. I didn't see any markings on the head. I'll look again this evening when I install the new fork brace. I'll may also remove it again and check the hole closer too. Thanks everyone for the info, if I don't feel comfortable I may even order me a new side stand. I probably can beat the $57.00 price here at my local dealer.

    Randy, I tightened it up good, but still have a little play. I'm hoping this new green Yamaha bolt is harder than the old one.

    Are you taking your medication again Dan? No I didn't drop it, I changed the bolt before it happened....
