    Back in 1986 the solder wasn't as good either. Use some good silver solder and redo all of the solder joints and you should be good for another 20 years.....

    I have an extra CB radio for a First Gen that I got on ebay for sale. I thought mine may have went out, but I was able to repair it. This radio appears to work with no problems as I hooked it up to my bike when my radio was out. The lettering is faded on the face, but other than that no problems. I can put it on your door step for $85.00. (continental US) SOLD

    Question: I got a new computer and it doesn't have Word program loaded on it yet. Does anyone have a solution to where I might fnd the program without breaking the bank?

    The plug is pretty good size with alot of weight pulling down on the unit. This is what causes the joints to go bad after several years of bouncing and vibrations. These are 23 year old scoots now...

    I had to re-do all solder joints on the circuit board, it just wasn't the seven joints mentioned inthe thread...... Works like a charm now!

    I have been hearing a rattle and maybe a slight exhaust leak out of the ole girl. And for those of you who knows my ole girl, SHE DOESN'T RATTLE. For some reason my rear exhaust clamps will loosen up every now and then. Am I missing something or is there a bigger problem coming down the road? After tightening them up, everything goes away......

    YES ! US Route 60 past Hawks Nest is great riding. I had the 2006 Bridge Day WV Meet and Eat and the 2007 WV Meet & Eat ride through there. Everyone loved it.....
