While your out riding Dan keep an eye out for bears. Seems they've been out alot in the Asheville area. Just talked to my daughter she lives out that way and she said she had a bear run out in front of her in the car. So now you gotta watch out for all the furry critters that can ruin your day. Well you can find some nice places in the mountains of NC. Just avoid the valleys and you should do ok with the temps.Gets a bit steamy in them. Let us know when you have some time to ride, we can show you around. We have a few folks up in the mountains that could give you info. 1rooster lives in Marion not far from the big population areas. You should talk to him. Might be a good spot for you. Margaret

I can't answer the difference on the windshield but you can get the vent on the clearview. That will give you some wind in your face. Margaret

They start selling tickets at 8:30 but the house opens at 9. We can go anytime. I figured getting there as they open the house. So we should be there about 9am. It doesn't take long to get there. Margaret

Here's a link with a list of resturants. The second page has seafood resturants. I've never eaten down there, so I can't recommend any of them. Well l never got the call back from the Biltmore so I'm gonna make the assumption that they don't have a special deal or maybe any tickets left. Guess we can check when we get there in case there's any cancellations. Sorry about that folks. Anyway I'll find out from rooster I hope whether he's still planning something for friday night. I spoke to them at the Biltmore and tickets for a group will be $36 a person. Not sure about the concert yet. They are calling me back in the morning to let me know if there are any tickets left and what the price would be. She's going on the assumption that we're all gonna want to go. I figured might get a good price that way. She did say it's been $20 more for the concert ticket. So if we can't get to the concert we'll find something else to do. 1rooster said he had something up his sleeve for friday night but won't tell me what. That price for the tickets alone is great the cost at the door is $47 and online is $42. I'll add to this thread when I get the call tomorrow. Thanks for your patience folks. Margaret

They just had an earthquake around L.A. said it was felt down to San Diego and slightly in Vegas. Doesn't seem to be anyone hurt so far. Hope you all are ok out there. Margaret
