That's horrible and on the poor guys wedding day. Hope they all recover quickly. Stupid cager, not only did he put the bikers in danger what if it had been a big truck he could have killed his daughter as well. Margaret

Muffin rode the dragon with a trailer with a refrigerator in it. I think Lewis was with him. He was taking it up to our daughter when she was in school. Margaret

You can upload them in our photobucket it's on the right side menu. Just make sure you resize them before you try to upload them. It's fairly easy you'll have to name your folder before you upload so they have somewhere to go. Any problems just ask someone should be able to walk you through it. Margaret

Warden we all sympathize with you. I would hate to see anything happen to him again. We totally understand your feelings on this and nobody will take this anyway except that you don't want anything happening to him again. The guys are having a bit of fun with Dan since he's in trouble, but they don't mean anything by it. I can tell you he was very cautious whenever we were with him. We also kept a close eye on him while we were riding with him. Scary as it may seem we actually care about him too, and you as well. Margaret

Well there's the wright memorial, Lost colony, aquarium, plus the light houses. Here's a link. http://www.outerbanks.org/ Hwy 12 takes you down to Hatteras then you can take the ferry over to ocracoke. Depending on how much you want to spend on hotels you may want to avoid staying on the outerbanks. Hotel prices are still up there till the end of the season. You can always head over to the mainland. If you like history you can head in to see somerset place, it's free because it's state run. http://www.nchistoricsites.org/somerset/somerset.htm If you want any more info let me know. I live on the mainland side of the albemarle sound. Hope this gets you started. Margaret

Ramona's got a good shot of how dirty I got as well as wet while mining. I scrubbed my rocks into pebbles I didn't want to miss nothing. Oh heck a little over 400 is nothing have you seen Bobbies over 1300. (and she was only there part of the time) Margaret

Not only did we have plenty of 1st gens we even seen some that weren't with us up in them mountains. I guess the 1st gens were just looking for more of a challenging ride.:rotf: Margaret

Well as far as an Asheville II we'll have to see what's going on and when next year. I understand from a reliable source that Vogel will be back next year. So I'll see when everyone else is doing there thing. If it's too busy next year I might just wait and do it the year after. I'll let you all know. I really hadn't intended this an anything more then a fill in for Vogel. Wonder if there's anymore twisty roads in NC for you all to ride on? :rotf: Margaret

First I want to say thank you for so many of you coming to Asheville. I had no idea so many of you would get there. Seems like you all had a good time. Now there's a few folks I want to send a huge thank you out to: Randya and Laura: They gave me a huge hand with this. Laura is now camp mama, she made sure everyone ate that showed up. She took good care of us. Randy helped with routes for rides. I've been on the roads out there but I couldn't tell you what they were. So I relied on him, and rooster for this. 1rooster: You're a sweetie. He was tail gunner for wed. ride and took good care of our flat lander Thom. He also picked up a few of us in chimney rock to head back to the KOA. Oh and Jeff really liked the little ride he got on your bike with the sidecar. Now he's very motivated to get his on. The rest of my family members, yes you are all my family. Thanks for coming and sharing your time with us. I guess I should thank the muffin for taking me there. This was his idea, I just put it together. Thank you all so very much. Lewis gave me the biggest compliment by saying that this was a great event. I take that as a big pat on the back since he's done vogel for three years. Well gotta get my pics done and see if I can get all the clothes in the hamper. I really need to wash those pants from yesterday at the gem mine. I didn't get any gems but I wore lots of NC dirt. Margaret

Yep we're home too. Had to go get our old dog from the neighbors house and unload the bike (all that dirty laundry I had) Glad everyone is making it home safe. Gotta check to see who else got home now. Yep I got pics, loading them up on the computer as I type. Should have them posted tonight if photobucket cooperates. Margaret
