  1. My daughter took this picture of me one day while out on a ride...
  2. What a great way to pass the time especially when it's so nasty outside... eat, drink and be merry! It was a good time and nice to see everyone again. Thanks for putting this together Bob!
  3. Its Great to be a Northerner... Living in the south! I've lived up that way (Kirkland Lake & Virginiatown Area) for about 16 years so i know your pains! My mom is still up that way so I still get up once and a while. Anyways, you should know by now that you don't have a spring... just winter and 'black flies' (and all their friends)! I hope it clears up for you soon but don't put the shovel too far away, the forcast says there is more snow on the way for today!
  4. Would you be able to make a rig to somehow lift the back of the ramp once the bike is on it... then you just drive it straight on. Or if your ramp is also your back door perhaps you can install a winch to lift the ramp up.
  5. Some nice bikes here... http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/StarVBS/StarVBSBike.aspx?id=2498&gid=3&pg=1&y=c
  6. You might want to consider mending it, http://www.plastex.net/index.php?pr=Home_Page makes a great product. I've done a repair for friend who dumped his venture and completely shattered his cowling... that was a couple years ago now and it’s still as good as new.
  7. I believe it should be covered because it is considered a ‘driving aid’. My insurance covered my GPS when it was stolen out of my vehicle because it was a driving aid and it was mounted. I also had a pair driving glasses but they said they wouldn’t cover them because they weren’t mounted or part of the vehicle... however when I argued that the vehicle was equipped with a built in holder for glasses and that these glasses were left in the vehicle because they were driving glasses they agreed with me and paid for a replacement pair.
  8. That sounds like a fair price, it might be a good idea to check the date on the tire. Where is MC Impacts?
  9. Hi Bob... congratulations on the new trike, I’m sure it looks great! If you’re inquiring about the fork pressure on your new scoot 10 psi will be too much. Maximum pressure is 7-8 psi. You’ll need a 0 – 15 gauge on a hand pump with a zero loss air chuck to do the job right, Progressive makes a nice pump. The other idea I like is the ‘Progressive Suspension Air Fork Balance Kit’, they’ll keep the pressure in forks balanced http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp;jsessionid=VFN5LLHK4G5JLLA0WTVSM4VMDK0NCIV0?store=Main&skuId=58318 I don’t have a pump but I have used one and found that 4psi felt pretty good in the front.
  10. My solution was I bought a Sanyo Noise Reduction headset removed the earpiece from the headband and installed them in my ¾ helmet. Then I made an adapter to convert the 5 pin plug to a 1/8 stereo, now I just plug’n’play and it sounds great. The nice thing about it is that being in the helmet there is no wind noise to contend with, the sound is clear and crisp so I don’t have to have the volume as loud and I can still hear what is going on around me. Also, now that I have the 5 pin adapter if I choose to wear my ½ helmet I can plug in the ear-buds to the standard 1/8 stereo jack. Total conversion, $60... for everything else there’s Master charge!
  11. I'm using the T6 and have no concerns. $19.50/gal at WalMart is a good price.
  12. I feel for you Charlie. We had a lot of warm rain last night, right now it's 16 C (62 F) here in Niagara and the trees are breaking bud. I lived up your way for about 16 years and know what it's like, you only have two seasons up there... winter and summer! Look at the bright side... as long as you have snow you won't have any mosquitos!!
  13. We have the same laws here in Canada.
  14. If you can find one of the old round home heating thermostats they work off a Mercury switch.
  15. That sounds like quite an accomplishment, I'm very happy for you!
  16. Your battery doesn’t seem that old, have you checked the acid levels and cleaned the terminals? ... don’t forget to coat the terminals with dielectric grease.
  17. I realize you that you don’t have a set price yet but $150 would be a fairly good deal. I'd like to give another try with the Kumho but first I want to find a way to reduce the install pressure. Currently I have a spare rim and am looking into having it modified but I want to do so without affecting any tolerances. Me thinks “Nothing ‘Ventured’ nothing gained” ... doing it in WW's is doing it in style!
  18. ... I guess now have one more thing to add to my "To Do" list.
  19. But if these are sealed bearings would lubricating them still be considered 'standard maintenanca... me thinks not???
  20. I had to delete almost all the voices on my ZUMO 550 just to make enough room to load the 2010 map update. There’s not much room left on the unit, anything else will have to go on a SD card.
  21. That’s what you call “John Wayne TP”... ROUGH & TOUGH and won’t take crap off no-one!
  22. Amen to that! ... This lady wasn't so lucky http://www.thespec.com/News/Local/article/735279 , she got hit from behind while on her bike just a couple days ago. They start early around here !!
  23. Oops is right... it looks like he spilled his coffee.
  24. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before he does! Great song, although I must admit that "Pants on the Ground" is a good runner up!!
