Wow thanks for the pics!

Some do both and are happy. Some find it a little squirly. Links can be gotten from diamondraccessories. Or you can make them yourself. I think the design is in the tech section.

You have the courage to do what you did. I applaud you...as that must have been tough. Like you said though, it was something you had to do.... We have all been deeply touched by this tragedy and miracle at the same time. We are here...always.

Customer relations???? They better have fixed it under warranty...never mind just good will! Or did I misunderstand something again? 5 year warranty "bumper to bumper" unlimited mileage...fully transferable.

Range of motor replace..........
sarges46 replied to Gone14S's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
True they have fixed the second gear in the newer models of 85. Be carefull there...there is VIN cut off that will help....anything after the certain vin should be good. I didnt think that splitting the case was so bad once the motor was out...what do I know though. There are plenty of tech articles on that by the way. -
The unit is actually cheaper from sierra electronics by a long shot. Just so you know.

Whenever I worked the camera...I found it amazing how easy it was to get "jostled" and the camera would suddenly shoot upwards or down.

Try PM'ing Hugbare...he is a radio guru and has helped some folks wire up the add on j+m to their cruisers. That portable system is one I would get for Marilyn's bike if I could afford it.

Lets see....tickets bought for trailer...registered and paypal sent. Might have good lead on hitch for Marilyn's bike.....only thing left will be to collect my camper this spring and we are good to go! Cant wait! This trip will be our summer holiday trip for our family and the first long one with the kids on the bikes.

Yes, Marilyns is a custom. Yes it may kill some of the look, but, she needs to tow a trailer as I am towing the camper and dont think I can pack enough when we take the kids along. Oh, yeah...thanks for the reply!

I have a line on a hitch for Marilyns bike. Does anyone know if the frame from 99 and up is the same? The hitch came off of a 99 1100 custom says the seller. Thanks in advance

Concur....triple tree...nothing to work loose and mostly nothing that will bend. Freebird has pics of his bike loaded up on a trailer. Ya may have to search for them though. Found it for ya... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7732&highlight=Trailering

No garden here thanks be to God! We had one at our last home and grassed it over. With our jobs and the shift work....plus riding and doing things with the kids there just wasn't time to "work" in the garden. And, I dont enjoy it enough to call it relaxing or stress relief...to me it was just work. I have to admit to loving fresh outta the garden produce though....in-laws have a big garden and we raid that all the time!

Fork seals leaking on the "older" bikes is not uncommon. I dont think it would be caused by the progressives. Unless maybe you refilled with too much oil.

Bumpity bump bump

Hey Squid.....with our bellys we could just lay it out and relax! "course we would need longer arms!! Really, I have heard that the wind actually helps make the ride easier...dont know if thats true or not.

Well...thank thee sir! 3years and 2 months to go...then I am done this business. Gonna drive a school bus in the non biking season...figure a load of screaming kids cant be worse than what we put up with now! Do that for a couple years till Marilyn retires then freedom!!

I would have..but I couldnt pass up on the sweet deal I got last year for my 05! That blue is very nice! Good luck selling and sorry that you have too!

There are two real common options for "cheap and functional" The piggybacker trailer (most have the XL) and a do it yourselfer called the "Harbour Freight" from well....harbour freight and then adding a cargo box of your choice to it. I have the piggy and really like. Around 800 bucks for the XL. Also...many folks have said immediatley after buying a trailer...they wished they got a bigger one. So, while there are great reports on the uni-go, it is a tad smallish. You would have to look at what you want the trailer to do for you and just how much stuff your passenger will want to take along! The hitch is real cheap...just over a hundred bucks and there is a member here who sells them. Check the classifieds. Uni-go....not so cheap!
