Hi to all. I thank you all for your help and ideas. The bike is still out of commision. I got a flu shot and had an adverse reaction that put me out of commision. The day after the shot I had pains in my left pectoral, upper arm, and left scapula. It was a 10 on the zero to 10 pain scale. Had a heart work up and all is well there. It's a month later and I still have the pains, but not as severe. So, I had to quit and put the bike to sleep until next spring. I hope by then I am well enough to ride and get her going. Thanks again, you are a great bunch of bikers. Jim

i would like to have a dvd available to the members, of the 09 rally. floyd used to do these and did an excellent job. i need some one that can edit all the videos and pictures from the rally and put them on a dvd to music. the members at the rally will have plenty of video and still pics of the rally that can be used. floyd made them for the cost of the blank dvd and postage. i have a couple of the ones he made and they are really fun to watch. if anyone has this talent and wants to give it a shot pm me. if you want to make a little on the dvd's thats up to you. this is just something i think alot of the members would like to have. i'll take two just to get it rolling. bill

I picked up 2 single shot .22 rifles today. 1. A Remington Targetmaster 510P in really good shape. Has peep sights and very little wear any place. I found out they were manufactured from 1939 - 1968. Up to that time no serial numbers were required, so it is impossible to know how old it really is 2. A Ranger Single shot .22 M-34 rifle. Very good shape, stock finish is still glossy with very few dings. Research showed that they were manufactured for Sears by Marlin. Will be taking them apart in the next day or so... or maybe after I get back from Arkansas at the end of the month. Will take them out and shoot them then. On another note, Went duck hunting yesterday. My partner and I shot 13 ducks total. 8 for me and 5 for him. I even got 2 doubles. We spilt the kills to make sure we shot had the right numbers of the various birds to make the Wildlife folks happy, 2 Drake Mallards 1 Hen Mallards 2 Drake Shovelbills 2 Hen Shovelbills 4 Drake Gadwall 2 Hen Gadwall Morning flight only gave us 3 birds, slow afternoon got us 2, the big run was the evening flight which came in large groups getting us the last 8 in the final hour and a half. Wish we could get a bird for every shot fired...:bang head: would have about 35 birds ! Only my second season hunting and am loving the hell out of it. Started last season with a Remington 870 express 12 gauge. Moved up some this year with the purchase of a Benelli Super Black Eagle II ... What a sweet gun. Yesterday was the third outing for the season. First day 0, Second day 1, Third day, 8 nice progression. Would be nice if I can limit each time. What a day it was :hurts::hurts:

Got to meet my 1st VR member today. I rode over to B2Dads' house. He only lives about 20 miles from me, and it turned out we have met before...I used to work on their cars years ago. We admired each others' bikes. I got to meet the wife and the dog, and we just shot the bull for a few hours. Really nice people they are. I look forward to meeting many more of you!

Anyone got a CB for a 1st gen. they would part with? Squelch pot on mine is shot so I can either listen to CB or radio but not both at the same time.

We shot this for our local Town's annual chirstmas light up event and timing is everything. By pure luck just as they threw the switch, a beautiful Cinderella Carriage came through the shot and make it the perfect shot. We had been out there all evening waiting in the low teens freezing, but this shot made it worth the wait. I'll take luck as well as skill anytime! I would like to purchase a new seat cover for an 88. I checked with several Yamaha parts houses and they do list two different ones. When I tried to order we found that they are both discontinued and no longer available. I would like to have gotten one that was close to original. Do any of you know where one can be purchased? If I need to have mine redone, can you give me an idea of what is a fair price to pay? The seat is in good condition, but the cover is shot. Thanks BnkrBill -
I'm a new member, part of the over the hill group........I notice that everyone has a call name other than their given name.....I don't want to stand out in the crowd as Joe Taylor; my nickname is Shot, that sounds like a good biker name. How do I go about getting this changed to Shot? Or am I just paranoid?

Excuse me if the pic was discussed here before. I hope all is well and you were all safe riding this summer. I want test your knowledge and solve a puzzle for me by being the first member to identify this bike. This picture was posted several months ago on the H-D boards and was supposed to be a spy shot of the 09 electra glide. It looks metric to me and does not look like the final H-D that came out a few weeks ago. I just may not recognize Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha or Kawasaki features on a customer's modified bike, but I can't figure out what bike this is. Does anyone recognize this bike or could it be possibly be a spy shot of the long awaited new Kawasaki touring bike??? NOTES: Trunk looks a little like a Venture. Side bags not so much. The rider foot position on the passenger boards could be for comfort or could indicate bad engine heat like the Victory Vision. I do like the handlebar height and the height of the gauges at the top of the fairing. According to witnesses, biker was at the intersection waiting to turn. Woman came up behind him fast and close. He got off his bike and walked back to her SUV. As he was talking to/confronting her, his (false) teeth popped out. The woman, a licensed CCW holder, thought he was spitting at her and she shot him once in the chest with a 38. It appeared this all happened in the street and the woman did not exit her vehicle. She has not been charged. The biker was in surgery.

Greetings all, Just back from a weekend away with my 4 brothers. Thought I'd share a couple of photos with you. Shot 1 is the 5 of us - the 2004 RSV, 3 Hardlies and a Honda 1100 Super bol d'or. All up nearly 7 litres of engine capacity in 14 cylinders. Nobody has stock pipes, and boy did we turn heads as we slowly rumbled through the countryside. Shot 2 is yours truly. Shot 3 is typical of the countryside around where I live. I'm about 3 hours from home here. And no - we do not ride on the right side of the road. I just wanted to pull up in the shade for a drink and leak. Enjoy.

Hey guys and gals , BEER24/7 and I will be attending the Shot Show in Las Vegas , Feb 2-5th . http://www.shotshow.com/App/homepage.cfm?moduleid=1968&appname=100300 . For any of you gun nuts , LEO's , hunting and camping , and military people or local members that might be there as well , here's an oppertunity to meet up with one another . We will arrive on the 1st and depart afternnon of the 4th , staying at the Imperial Palace on the strip . Don't have any actual planned outside the Shot Show hours other than robbing the one armed bandits and consuming all the alcohol that is placed in front of me . Only renting a car for the first day and riding the monorail or footing it the remaining time . Considered renting a HD . But taking Mom along and it's hard enough to ride a HD single/double let alone 3 up ! :rotf: My cell # is located in the VR assistance if ya want to make contact . BEER30

Can a thief read? I'm thinking about putting up a warning sign at our new property. Local punks hit it again along with 10-15 others around. Just wanted to let you all know that though I've not posted much over the past few days, I am keeping up with all thats going on. I caught some sort of winter bug and have been down for a few days. Running a high temperature, congestion, ear infection.....all that goes along with it. Had a flu shot a few weeks ago so don't think it's the flu but something has sure put a whuppin on me. Haven't been to the doctor but may go today....probably not though. I actually think that MAYBE I'm feeling a bit better this morning so hopefully maybe I'm starting to come out of it.

Just wondering if anyone out there drove for a living ?....I just graduated from Southern State Community College Truck Driving Academy.... Got the Hazmat,double,triples, tanker endorsement's....Was not easy...But my job of 16 yrs. went down the drain due to Ford's incompetence...Thought I might give driving a shot...Got a few questions if anyone does.
