I have two unused 2008 Venture International Rally T-Shirts I would like to part with (finally showed up a few days ago). I do not like them and they were not what I ordered. 1 black short sleeve XL 1 black short sleeve XXL I was thinking $20 shipped for both in the US. Let me know.

Well, I have searched and searched and found no answer... so I'll ask those who know. My wife is short and has short little legs. Her floorboards need to come up and maybe back a bit. Does ANYONE make anything to reposition them? I'm talking about the floorboards not the legs.

Well after 9 weeks my now clearview shield came in today. I bought the Med. 3" shorter then stock. I took it out of the box and it is a bet shorter then I thought it would be. It is hard to tell until I get it installed hope it not to short .Now for my question, there was 2 small pieces of rubber about 3" long could anyone tell me where these go? I think it may be on the short lip that is on each side of the shield but not sure. has anyone installed on on there bike lately? :7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:

Some of you may recall on 6/21/08 I came in contact with a 200 lb wild hog at about 60 mph. Pig did not make it Road Star Silvarado did not make it. I on the other hand just got released to go back to work on light duty today. :whistling:Gonna get back on rsv in the morning for short ride to Snyder for a gun and coin show, need to wait for the :no-no-no:wife to go to work she is not quite as thrilled about riding as she used to be.She will eventually come around. Glad to be here! Kilowatt

I pulled up to my local auto parts store at about 7:00 this evening to pick up some spark plugs for my RSV and I parked next to a young guy and his Vstrom. He had the seat off and was starting to take the plastic off. We exchanged hello's and commented that he hoped I didn't have his problem. A short in the electrical system due to melted insulation on several wires that had made contact with head. As I walked away to go in and get my spark plugs I noticed that he was from out of state with an Arkansas plate. When I came out I asked what I could do to help. While Riley (the owner) had fortunately found the short it was in one of those places that you could see but couldn't reach into. Neither he nor I had ever worked on a Vstrom. After I had assured him that I would not leave him stranded we spent the next 2 hours in the parking lot stripping the bike down by taking off the fairing and tank in order to get access to the wires. The store personnel were great in that they let him borrow tools from the shelf. We managed to get enough slack in the wire bundle and separate the melted wires in order to wrap them with tape. While we worked we got to know each other a bit and I found that he is a photographer who shoots weddings. So do I, or I did. So we were able to talk photography as well. Just as dark fell we had the bike back together and running well. He had another 40 miles to go tonight to make his next stop. He was very appreciative of my help and I enjoyed helping a fellow rider out. Hopefully, I'll get my spark plugs installed tomorrow night. DT

Hi all: Is there anyone with the Diamond R Passenger Highway Pegs installed on their Second Gen Venture within 100 Miles of Virginia Beach? Honey would like to try them (maybe a short ride) prior to purchasing a set. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Nancy, is was great meeting you at Skids last weekend, Meeting you was the highlight of my trip, Seeing those pictures of Mark through the years made me feel like I had know him for years, thank you so much for going out of your way to come and see all of us.......... You and Mark did a fine job of raising Kenny, and just by talking to Kenny for the short time I can see that Mark was more that just a father but a friend and mentor to him...........I hope to get to your area in the near future and learn more about Mark, and who knows maybe Kenny can go for a ride with us.......... Thanks again and Gob Bless.

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a Venture with the Cee Bailey 7" Shield on it. I am looking to go SHORT for this summer because it got REALLY hot last summer riding behind "the movie screen" stock windshield. I am look at either going with the 7 or the 9 but wanted to see what it looked like on the scoot. I mean you see all the HD with the short shields and they look good. Since our scoots are better looking anyway I have a feeling the short shield will make it look even better. Thanks for the help y'all. RIDE SAFE TheKid

Saw this new product listing another board. With Rain-X being harmfull to shields, and being discussed in the past in several threads, I thought Raincoat might be something to look into for those riding in the rain. http://www.motosolutions.com/ Here's a short video. Looks pretty good to me.. Hope the link works. http://76.12.111.23/Videos/RaincoatDemo.wmv

I bought an 06 VR a few months back and want to go with a shorter windsheild but I am concerned about how a short winsheild will effect my wife who rides with me from time to time. You know the saying if momma's not have nobodys happy and beleive me I want her happy so any feed back is greaty appreciated. Mark

I seldom go on You Tube, but a friend flagged this to me. It is an intersection car/cycle crash where the car obviously ran a red light. This is not for the faint at heart as the biker took a bad hit. But, on a lighter note, there are many more short videos attached near that are down right funny and it is amazing how stupid some people are. A remarkable phone call from a 12-yr old boy to Houston radio station KSBJ FM 89.3. So profound, the station has it posted on their website. Click below to listen to it. It's short. [ame= ] [/ame] Merry Christmas, everyone and Ride safe! Bobbie

Didn't like the big whip antennas and I never use the CB so now I got a single short black one. Removed the CB mount and tied it up under the trunk. Got a short black rubber universial from parts store for about 5 bucks. I had to make the threaded adapter by drilling and tapping a bolt but it works great cost little and it is what I was looking for. http://bigbikeriders.com/photopost/data/500/2508antenna_cropped_red_2_.JPG

I know some of you have this. Interested, but leary. 3 hours of battery power just doesn't make sense to me. What do you do about the short battery life? Do you carry spares? Is there a way to hard wire it to the bike? Thanks in advance.

Kuryakin grips coming up short!
Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I just finished the tune up and I purchased the Kuryakyn 6235. The web site states that the 6235 are for all Venture Royale. I have an 1984 VR and what I don't understand is that the grip on the left side seems to be too short and very loose when I put it on. The package says 6235 but could there have been an error in packaging or am I doing something wrong? Simply puting on by itself, there is a alot of play, then it comes up about 1" too short? Thank God I cut open the left side first...and just as I thought I could go for a ride tonight!!! :bang head: Anyone else run into this problem...or is it me again? The instructions talk of the spacer but from what I see and understand that is for if they are too long? It's a conspiracy for me not to take it for a ride!!!
