Help! I'm about ready to punch my monitor......... Every time I download something from www.freedownloads.com it ends up not being free............ "EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY SO!" I've tried and removed the following supposed freeware: Regcure, Pcfix and Tuneup360. Oh yeah, they do their scans but you have to pay for the activation key! This is not as they were advertised in the Freeware section. Anyone know where I can get some FREEWARE to fix windows registry problems? I need a beer!

Just curious, as I get lots of strange comments from perfect strangers, as to why I am still riding my VR in the middle of winter. I try to ride everyday that is free of snow and ice so I was wondering who else is enjoying those nice brisk morning/evening rides?

How do you get books for a E-Reader? I usually visit all the 2nd hand shops for my books don't want to pay what they cost new. I now have a E-Reader. Kind of fancy. Yeah I'm cheap. Free access some where??

I have 7 new in box HP ink tanks HP #10 Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. I no longer have the printer that these were for. First person to pay the shipping for a USPS medium flat rate box can have them for free. If not they are soon headed for the land fill. I was cleaning over the weekend and they got in my way once to often. You won't find these at a price much better than this.

Has anyone used the "blue flame" vent free wall mount heaters? Just insulated the garage, and have the drywall up (thanks IH Truck Guy), and just need to mud it yet. Wasn't quite ready to worry about which heater yet, but my two choices are both on sale right now, and I need to decide today. I have Natural Gas available to heat a 24x26x9.5 foot garage. I'm leaning for the vent free 30,000 btu over the ceiling mount vent outside 45,000 btu unit. It's less than 1/2 the $ and I don't need to cut a hole in the wall and spend another $100 to vent it. I'm looking at the ProCom vent free thermostat with fan added. Mr heater has had a similar unit in the past as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Later, Scooter Bob

Not much is Free anymore. All the local gas stations now charge $1.00 to use the air machine. What happened to 50 cents. I remember when using the air compressor was a free service. Sheetz where the wife works still has free air but not many left that do.Whats next a $1 fee on the Restroom door? I drove 12 miles to the closest gas station Saturday to gas up the truck. Everytime someone borrows my truck they bring it back empty. Anyway I took the airtank with me cause my air compressor was guarded heavy by Yellow Jackets and the tractor tire was low. I got pissed at the $1 fee for air and came back without it.The gas station also charges a $1 authorization fee just to swipe your credit card at the pump. I'm going to put a sign on the mailbox. Checks Free but bills and junk mail $1 please. I could have the phone company charge for incoming calls the wife is free,all others $1.00 except the Mother In Law $10.00:whistling:

I am planning my ride to the Smokey Mnts Sept 24th from Fl and found that if you camp in any Ga state park Sept 25th it is free. I am planning to camp here on the 24th http://www.gastateparks.org/GeorgeLSmith then here on the 25th just below the mnt's to take advantage of the free camping http://www.gastateparks.org/BlackRockMountain I got my new tires for the trailer and can't wait to hit the road and hopefully meet some more Venture riders.

I'm talking about the lower engine covers that are painted all black where the top ones have the aluminum (material?) showing at the edge. I am debating whether or not I should do this, as it is a quick and simple mod that's free. I would just like to see some pictures of the whole bike, not just an up close of the engine. Anyone have any pics they'd care to share? Thanks! -
Free backrest for a RSTD for the cost of shipping and a donation to ST. jude's for what you think it's worth after you receive and inspect it. I got this from Mikealiasmike who is a member the same way. However I think I want the other style like the RSV. You can see a picture of this one at www.protac.net This is how it will work. I am thinking of a number between 1 and 100 the first person to get the number right will win the backrest. So riding home thought the rear end felt a little mushy, but made it home fine. Got up the next morning and put a guage on it and it was dead, picked up a nail. Initially was going to just plug it, but since I bought the tire (mounted) from Discount tire and they fix flats for free, I took it to them instead. They un-mounted it, patch/plugged it from the inside and re-mounted it, no muss no fuss no charge. Guess that is why I buy all of my tires from there.

Thanks to oldguy(Will) from North Bay Ont for the free rad,rad cover and the radio mount plastic that he gave me to start fixing my damaged 87 Venture and the offer of accommodations(which we reluctantly turned down--friend felt uncomfortable accepting accommodations from someone he didn't know.). A friend and I rode up there(280miles one way) on Wed. and rode back on Thurs this week.What a nice LLLOOONNNGGG ride on a not so comfortable bike(2000 Road-star). Will start replacing these parts as soon as it cools down in garage. Still looking for rest of fairing pieces yet.Will keep looking tho and with luck might get back on road some day.

For those of you changing your rear tire in the future I have a new snap ring that I don't need. Part number 99009-52500. Fits Gen 2 only. Would ask that you really can use it instead of throwing it in the tool box. Lower 48 only. PM address. Oh! It's free. hh

Is there a valve shim it floating around and needs some new shims? Seems my local dealer has decided that he's losing sales by swapping shims for free. Will be happy to pay shipping. (Both ways). tks chuck

I am bringing a lot of 1st gen parts I have accumulated thru the years and have no intention of taking them home. I have a couple of MK2 saddlebags, a MK1 Markland hitch, some crash bars, etc. I just can't really afford to ship the stuff out any more, and keep forgetting yto send out stuff I have promised to. Must be old age... These are free, but if you want to donate something to the site feel free to do so!

Did you know there is a place in Texas that has a 72 oz steak dinner with all the trimmings?? If you can eat it in less than a hour it is free!!! If not 50 bucks. Didn't catch where it was at exactly, somewhere in Armarillo( Big Steak Ranch??) but it sounds doable to me!!

Need an RSTD owner within striking distance of Beloit, WI who wants a free rider's backrest, in return for letting his bike be used for the measurements. Just spoke with Grasshopper Limited (http://www.grasshopperlimited.com) in Beloit, WI. They need someone with an RSTD to come to their shop for a few hours so they can start making rider's backrests for RSTDs. Whoever goes gets a free backrest.... and I get one too! Anyone avail and so inclined please contact me ASAP so I can turn this on! Steve

I have met some really sharp folks in my life and I have also found that many of these people are poor spellers. I am reasonably good, but I still screw up sometimes. Several years ago I downloaded a site called ieSpell that is free and it works very good. So. for those of you that have a tough time spelling, you ought to give it a try. RandyA

I had a gas and maintenance program that I kept all of my information in. It was a free program that I could make logs for 3 vehicles.Anyway our computer crashed:starz: a couple of months ago We bought a new one . We were able to recover most everything, but this program did not survive. My question: Does anyone know where I can find another free program to continue keeping track of all I do on my vehicals? Hey gang! I'm shopping for a new GPS- leaning toward the 550, but don't like that the price is higher than the model number! Right now I have a 360 (garmin car GPS) and it does work OK for me. Here's the question- What are the differences between units? I thought it would be nice to compile a list on the following issues for GPS: 1- Buddy Rich compatible?? (Y/N) does it allow you to use bike intercom system with BR cable if there's bluetooth? (question 6) yes/no 2- MP3? - (Y/N) plays mp3 files so you don't have to hook up your ipod? yes/no 3- XM/Serius/whatever (Y/N/A) - I don't wanna pay for radio, but lots of people love it!! yes/no/adapter required 4- Map updates - F/P Free or paid? 5- import online map routes? (y/n/3) yes, no, 3rd party product needed... Can it get routes off of gmaps, mapquest, downloaded into the unit so you can plan the trip before you go? 6- Bluetooth? (A/D/N) Answers only, dials also (integrated address book), or NO bluetooth for phone connections when riding... 7- Waterproof? (Y,B) Yes, or requires baggie!!! :-) Not sure what other features are needed... I really am most interested in 1, 2, and 5,6... 4 would be nice if they were free!!! Don't care much about 3. Any other important features Missing?
