  1. We just got home. What a great day. Good people and good food. Great idea Bill. I really liked the scenic route back to Troy. Nothing like a little road construction to liven things up. Nice looking ride you got there. Hope to meet up with everyone again soon.
  2. Great news. We're still sending you our prayers.
  3. A big thanks to all of the Nelson's. Don I really think that you outdid last years. I just wish that you and Brad had more of a chance to sit and chat. I like the idea of knocking off early and enjoying the afternoon with friends and family. It would be great if Don actually got to go on a ride with all of us. Nancy and I really enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We can't wait until next year. A big thank to Eileen and Dylan for everything you do.
  4. Glad to hear you got her running, and out on the road again. Will keep my ears open for a water bottle and will let you know if I find one. Good luck and keep the faith on first gens.
  5. What a weekend. It was really good to see everyone again and meet some new friends. Don and Eileen, Thanks so much for everything. Your hospitality is remarkable. The mower races were something too. Next year they need to start sooner tho. We made it home about 7:30 tonight. Great weather just a little windy. See you next year.
  6. Sounds good to us. We'll meet you there. Jay, he means the coffee shop we were at the last time. Can't wait to see the new ride. Linda, Nancy says she's ready to hit your shop and look around. See ya there.
  7. We'll be there. I just hope the pond monsters are under control this year. Maybe Don should drain the pond. Oh wait, he might find a mower down there. Can't wait to see everyone old and new.
  8. It was a great weekend and ride. Nance and I just got home about a half hour ago. We cruised thru Alton and stopped at the boat on the way home. Even won a little money. Thanks to Bill and Linda for a great meet and eat. It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Shep, Thanks for the great ride. We'll do it again. Rosebud, Nancy says she will get those recipes together for you. Thanks to everyone for making it a good weekend.
  9. Brad: I would get some speed shimmy on the 88 first gen. any time I got up 75 or 80 mph. I ran the front end at 14 lb. and the back at 71 lb. and this seemed to smooth it out. I also had a oversized Clearveiw windsheild on it, and maybe that would change the airflow over the front end enough to get the shimmy. The 92 has a stock sheild, and I have been running the same air pressure, and she does not seam to get the shakes as bad. Hope this help's you out and Nance and I will see you at Don's
  10. Nance and I will be there Friday nite as well. Staying at the Best Western. Can't wait to see everyone.
  11. So far that's good news. Hope to see you Saturday in Litchfield.
  12. Nance and I are happy you two found a new ride and it does not matter which jen. it is as long you two are still here to ride it. She looks like a good scoot Brad and I know you know what to do with a first gen. Look forward to seeing you at Don's for maintance day and will be looking for you.
  13. We live about 20 miles south of Bloomington, and have lived around here all our lives. There is some good riding within 60 to 90 miles from Bloomington. Starved Rock State Park is some very pretty riding and you don't have to ride all day to get there. Just send me and my wife a message before you leave and we will see what we can do for you. There are a couple of us local around here. Keep us posted.

Kevin, Welcome to a great family here. I won't even hold it against you that you have a 2nd gen. Check out the rallies and hopefully we'll meet up sometime.
  15. Sounds like you have it all planned. I sure hope it doesn't get in the way of riding. Congrats on the new house.
  16. She does'nt look real pretty Brad, but you two beat the odds and walked away from it. I thought Nance's and my first gen. looked bad after I crashed, but your's makes mine look good. Take care of Lona and yourself and we both send you our hope that you come out well on the insurance game.
  17. Glad to hear you two are allright and still here with us. Anything Nance and I can do for you, just let us know. We will be riding with you again soon. Love you both and take care of each other.
  18. Charlie, Happy New Year to you and Hope. You really opened the door with this picture. At least you made the new year happy for everyone.
  19. Happy Anniversary to two people who have found out how to make it work with each other. Enjoy the Hayward area and have a great time with each day you are togather.
  20. Merry Christmas you two. We hope to see you again next year. Enjoy the family. We are heading to my folks shortly. Merry Christmas to all.
  21. What are you guy's talking about, Santa rides a first gen.
  22. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and keep the thought that people do remember the soldiers.
  23. Nance and I got ours and we think it looks great, and we both want to say thanks to Don for getting them for us.
  24. Thanks Don, They really like good. Now to sit back and wait.
  25. The wife and I would prefer the 7th. Cagers are bad enough without throwing a holiday in the mix.
