http://glossynews.com/society/201001070305/activists-missing-after-declaring-war-on-leather-at-motorcycle-rally/ Myohmy, where will it end ?? ?? :scratchchin:

Thanks for the Update. I'll still keep my Fingers crossed and she'll be in my Thoughts. Get well soon Annie, regarding the Grounding Call, the last Word isn't spoken about that.

YES, all of them will fit much better to the MKI. Not sure if the rear Rotor on the MK1 is a straight Type or if those are set off Style. The different Thickness is because the the MKI Discs are rigid and air vented, whereas the newer Bikes all are bored and have "floated" outer Rings where the Pads are biting to.

Jack, I don't know if you delinked the Brakes also, but be assured, feeding two R1 Calipers with a 5/8 Master is too much. Let alone, feeding only one R1 Caliper. I've been there. I don't know enough about your riding Style and Braking Habits, but if you getting on it in the Twisties once in a while, you not going to be happy with such a Setup. Riding in wet Conditions isn't any Fun too. If you want to upgrade your Masters, take those from a earlier FJR 1300. They fit both to the Handle Bars and have adjustable Levers, plus the early Masters are 14mm. The Piston Size is casted in Letters near the Banjo Bolt, mostly on the underside of the Master. If you don't trust me alone, OK, ask Pegscraper, we've been through this on his Bike too, he WAS in Doubt also. Dingy, again, i really like your Approach. The Comparison between the Areas is one Key. 1.87 mm doesn't sound much but it makes World of Difference. Now, if you compute the Area Data with the different Leverages those Masters have, it would be perfect.

We had a Discussion about shimming the Masters 18 Months ago or so. You had no Fear, and i said, i can't say anything for a Fact, but even while I'm doing a Lot of Parts modifying, i wouldn't do this. I'm afraid of the Master turning down and not able to reach the Levers when i need to. Those M6 Bolts and the Brackets are not able to transfer much of clamping Force before they brake in two Pieces. A too big Piston Size makes up a "digital" Brake. There's not much Travel between the Point where the Brake barely engages and where it bites to Point of locking up. Depends on what Brake Calipers we talking here. The newer the Calipers are the more digital the Brake Sensation will be.

- Handle Bar Diameter is different. 1Gen have 22mm(7/8"), 2Gen is 1". - the Brake Master on the 2Gen is 5/8"(15,87mm) Piston Diameter, the 1Gen is 14mm. That's a Show Stopper.

Thank you, maybe just a Habit, i didn't use this Button before, gave me nothing helpful before. Now it's OK.

Great Improvement!!! Only Flaw i find is the Button in the left Menu Bar(Mark everything as read) doesn't change the Status of the Post. Like already mentioned above, the Button in the Quick Links Menu works.

You can't compute the Data on the sole Weight (or better said Mass) of the Vehicles. The Crash Zones are designed to crumple up and take the Force which is provided from the Impact and Speed Differential. If you look at the '59, the Fender gives up too fast and transfers the Forces into Safety Cage, thereby most likely killing the Passengers by the Lack of passive Safety. The Crash your Buddy had may have ended this Way because the Lexus took most of the Forces out and taking most of the Momentum out of the Collision. This combined with one Driver on the Brake and the other Driver not on the Brake (perhaps the Foot got moved by Impact or Air Bags) will end in a false Conclusion. It's not that easy and don't believe in the old Ladder styled Frames either. They might be superior in Damage Control up to 15 mph, but above that, the new Design will save the Occupants more than any older Design. You're missing a Collar there. Inside Diameter is 20mm, outside is 28mm, Length is unkown. I'd not ride without the fitting Collar, because you're ruining your Wheel Bearings right now.

The metrics Threads are M10x1.25 Pitch. But the Thread on the right Side has a left handed(reverse) Thread Direction.

In whatever Way you put it, if you can lock down the Wheel with torquing down the Axle, there is something not as it should be. Could be Number Things, but this needs to be adressed, asap.

After rereading my above Comment, i want to make my Thoughts clear. (I feel I'm still not good enough forming Sentences in such sensitve Matters as the PGR/WBC Subject is) Not that USA or the World needed such a bad Bunch of People like WBC or others as well, but they are there. As it looks we can't get rid of them and the are like a Pest (to me at least) and if they're gone, there will be someone else, that's Life, so to speak. But when you look what they caused, an Organsiation as big, respected and as honorable as the PGR is now, they caused a real good Thing and all the Members and Participiants have all my Respect.

You may have had luck and got the Screws out. It's possible. I tried several Carb Sets to no avial. I did my own Carb-Sets with Allen Head Screws to make it easier next Time, but even those gave me a hard Time with ball Ended Allen Head Keys. But if you got the Bowls off, no need to Split the Set. Of Course, you need be aware of the smaller Diaphragmn from the Costing Enrichment Chambers and clean the Area thoroughly after getting the Carb Set out of the USC.- 16 replies
