We booked a pull thru yesterday, so we could get the bike out of the rear of our fifth wheel and they had to put us in another area. Dont really matter as long as i'm in the park. Probably better to be away from the rest of the drunks anyway. When they get to drinking that strong Canadian beer no telling what will happen. Puts our beer to shame.

We slept together at Vogel and you didn't buy me anything like that.

Be sure and go to the lake behind Lake Louise. It is Moraine Lake (not sure of spelling) and it is beautiful. They have a hotel type place you can stay in there if you make reservations.

I aint sure but I plan on finding out at the end of June 08.

What I hate most is when these moderators get on here and get us all stirred up by trying to moderate us with long moderator speechs. Not really, good job Swabby, I mean Squidly

We have beautiful women, fantastic cajun food, LSU Tiger football and tailgating at the games, beautiful swamps and lakes with twisties around them, great hunting and fishing (fresh and salt water), did I mention beautiful women and great food. We dont have mountains but water is everywhere if you boat, ski, fish or just ride around it.

What, where and when is this rally?

All of the casino hotel rooms were booked up. Can you believe that? We asked the cost just for fun and most cost $189 a night. I could not afford the hotel room even if they weren't booked up so we moved on down the road and found a cheaper room. Now I know everthing anyway as we spent the night in a Holiday Inn Express. :rotf::rotf::rotf:

Just got in an hour ago. We spent the night in Misissippi. Did a total of 857 miles. It was a great trip and I am glad that Lewis set it up and we decided to go. There were 12 bikes if I counted right and my wife rode 2 up with me. We learned a lot about the place and found out the donation that we make every month, for the last couple of years, goes to a great cause. It makes me want to do more. Will post some pics shortly. It was also great to see old friends and make new ones. Thanks again Lewis for setting this up and for caring.

In Louisiana it would be a "couchon-de-lait". Roast pig. Down here they eat the feet & lips and make hog head cheese out of the head.

Sojourner all you have to do is let Lewis know and he will gladly sell you one from a previous meet!:rotf::rotf:

Dear Beer famiy, The little beer is a very cute package (good thing it wasn't a 6 pack). Her name is spelled the same as my first granddaughter, whom I love dearly. I know you will love and enjoy her very much. Lyle

A little fear is not a bad thing. If you fear something you are very much more aware of whats around you. I dont mean for fear to make you freeze up but to let it make you think of what could happen so that you cant react. I have been a cop for over 20 years and have had fear strike me many times. It made me more aware and my vision and hearing much more acute. I was then ready to fight to the death if need be. If anyone, cops included, tells you he has never been scared of anything you can know that he is a liar and a fool. I think about getting in a wreck and killing my wife and then I slow down a little and drive a little more careful. Am I scared. You bet I am. I would never want to lose her, especially through fault of mine. Remember you have to make up your own mind but dont make a hasty decision. Good luck. Lyle

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but my wife and I are still crying from the loss of one of our dogs yesterday. Then you read this and it put a different perspective on things. I think about this posibility every time my wife rides with me. Gary I am sorry for your loss and pray that you will be ok and can carry on. Lyle

Wife and I rode to Madisonville, LA today for the wooden boat parade. It is held on the Tchefuncte (cha-funk-te) River, where you can see many camps that go from shacks to million dollar homes. The boats paraded are old wooden boats that look brand new and beauiful, but there are all kind of boats from kayaks to huge yachts and sail boats. The part I liked best were all the good looking ladies walking around. Just wish it was a little closer to summer so most would still be in bikinis. All in all it was a great ride up Hwy 22, a curvy road that runs along several local rivers and swamps. Dragonrider told me that it is one of his favorite roads to ride here when he is lucky enough to do so.

Lewis we ate at a small lace on Williams Blvd name The Harbor. Stuff served in plasic trays nless it needs plates or bowls. Cut down on the price, but the food sure is good. Lle

Quarterback Stefan LeFors will make his first-ever CFL regular season start for the Esks tomorrow afternoon in Toronto. But if it weren't for a sudden change in middle school and a high school coaches having significant faith in a rookie, LeFors wouldn't be leading the Green and Gold into a crucial game against the Argos. "In middle school -- I was in eighth grade at the time -- I was playing receiver and our No. 1 (quarterback) went down," remembered the 26-year-old LeFors. "So, for the following week -- we didn't have a backup -- the coach (said): 'You are going to play quarterback this week.' "I said: 'Alright, I will give it a shot.' So, we did all right, did well. The high school coach was at the game and he was like - hey, what do you think about coming to play quarterback next year for our high school? I said, 'Alright I will give it a shot.' " Phillip Ironside was that high school coach at Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge. Showing faith in an undersized rookie with almost zero experience at quarterback, Ironside decided to start LeFors from the moment he arrived in Grade 9. It turned out to be one of the most important moves in LeFors' football career. "He was the one who made me play quarterback," remembered LeFors of Ironside. "He was like -- 'hey, you need to play quarterback.' He was the one that got my foundation started." All these years later, Ironside still considers LeFors one of his special students. "You could just tell he could do it. He started from Day 1," recalled Ironside on the phone from his new school in Georgia this week. "His presence, the way he carried himself. He could handle it. He was a good runner, was a good thrower." In LeFors's first year in high school he had stunning success -- including toppling a team featuring a future NFL starting quarterback. "We beat the No. 1 team in the state, Northeast Louisiana," said Ironside. "His freshman year -- I am pretty sure -- was the year we beat Eli Manning in the playoffs. It was Eli's senior year and Stefan's freshman year." While Ironside left Baton Rouge after LeFors' sophomore year, he has still follows his career to this day. And the most influential coach in LeFors's career believes his former pupil will handle the pressure of being the Eskimos new starting quarterback. "Stefan, when he was with us, starting as a freshman, was probably five-foot-nine and 135 pounds," said Ironside. "Too small, parents are deaf, a kid that is never supposed to make it. All he did was start for four years in high school, win a bunch of games. "Then he is not good enough to go play college ball. He ends up getting a scholarship at Louisville. And then he is not good enough to play there, but goes on to win a ton of games and set records. "You are not good enough to go to the NFL. You are not good enough to keep playing (professionally). "He's just one of those kids that is going to keep on doing it (proving doubters wrong). "They will see Saturday (in Toronto) and they will think he's the greatest thing because he is a competitor. "He is a winner and a good kid." This young man is truly a good kid and should do Canada proud. He played high school football with my youngest son. He is the only person in his family that can hear.

My wife and left yesterday about 4:30 PM and rode the bike down River Road (Mississippi River). Took almost 2 hours to cover the 98 miles, because of all the curves and little towns. Beautiful ride seeing all of the plantation homes and old houses. Ate supper at a little seafood restraunt we know, great local fare. and then rode home up the interstate. It was only 63 miles that way and took an hour. Suprisingly cool last night. What a way to spend 5 hours.
