Well I layed my RSTD down on the right side. It had rain but quite but road was still wet. I was going down a steep hill with a 4way stop at the bottom. I was moving slow braking easy at the start of the down slop. But all at once I was down. Not hurt any just the bike. Windshield scratch right side, right front trun signal lens, front right lower cawling, right saddle bag, out side of a cable, head light, and but right side gards. Hurt my pride the most. Here is pictures of the damage. Already called the insurance company.

I have read on here and the pashnit froum about riders have a tire blow or go down fast. I had this happen to me back in the early 80's on the interstate going 65 or 60 mph. It was a tube tire so it when down fast. About a month before it happen I had read a safety article in Rider Magazine. I did just what it said to do and came to a safe upright stop. Do not hit the brakes rolling off the throttle pull cluch in. If it is the back move your weight has far forward has possible. If it is the front get your weight back has far has you can. Don't try to force it to get over "right now." Just get it slow down. When it get down to a to a craw then you can stop it. This work for me I was in the center lane on a three lane hwy. When it got slow down to where the back end was not wable has much. I let it coast to a stop, nursing it over to the shoulder.

Ebc part number: Fa123hh
Michael_Bishop replied to Michael_Bishop's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Thanks MiCarl. I had to get the organic pad FA123. I guess I will have to have them order the HH one for the next time. I usually change the rear every year. I was down to around a 1/8 of a inch on the inside pad. -
I played in a Blurgrass band when I was 14 to 18. Not much going on in it back then in the late 60's and early 70's. I learn it because a neighbor played the 5 srting banjo and knew I had a guitar. I told him I had not learn to play it and he got me to learn my cords. I want to play rock and blues.

Thanks eveyone for the info. I think from where I'm at I will try Seymour. Westfield might be a few miles closer but with traffic Seymour easier to get there. Or more enjoyable ride. Unless some around here that can do it this winter I will pay for there service.

I would like to know if anyone from Indiana has use Dryer for maintenance. If you was happy with them. I have a 2005 RSTD with 43,000 miles on it I got it new. The bike is stock except for Bub slip on's. I change my on oil, brake pads and plugs. It runs great and MPG is still good around 50 on the road. But I would like to get the valves check. I was thinking of get it check out this winter. After reading on this forum and other forums I think it hard to trust the dealers or who they have working for them.

What gets me about budget cuts in schools and cutting teachers is stuff like this. http://www.wthr.com/story/14185455/parents-outraged-over-wayne-township-superintendent-payout. Indianapolis - A newly-hired attorney is investigating a local superintendent's retirement deal that provided a huge payout on top of his pension. The contract has parents and the district upset. It was a retirement windfall from a controversial contract, creating a million-dollar payout for a school superintendent. This week, Wayne Township Schools started paying an attorney to see if it can get any of that money back. Parents say they are furious. "It's a complete oversight on their part," one parent said of the school board. "Some of those dollars should go back into the kids' education," added parent Tawnya McCrary. "It just isn't right. They could have done a lot more with that money," said Joyce Hillard, whose granddaughter attends Wayne Township Schools. The massive retirement payout was given to former Wayne Township Superintendent Dr. Terry Thompson in a contract negotiated and signed by members of the school board in 2007. Mary McDermott-Lang, director of communications for the district, says the contract was complicated, and the board didn't realize at the time how lucrative it was for Thompson. "It wasn't something that the board anticipated. The board really trusted Dr. Thompson," McDermott-Lang said. "They didn't see the numbers in the contract language in 2007." Here's what those numbers look like: -More than $800,000 in a lump sum retirement payout -$202,000, or about $1,300 per day, for Thompson to serve as "Superintendent Emeritus" for 150 days The district's stopped paying Thompson for the Emeritus position at the end of January, but they still cut him several checks, including $628,467.98 in unused sick time. "It makes you wonder if that man's getting a million dollars, how many children that million dollars could have paid for athletics and the marching band and how many computers it could have purchased," Hillard said. In fact, since negotiating the payout in 2007, Wayne Township has had to eliminate 85 staff and 8 teaching positions to save money in the district's shrinking budget. Some parents blame the school board. "Most of the time, you're going to read a document before you sign it, at least know what you're signing," McCrary said. Others blame Thompson, who was once voted Superintendent of the Year. "I think he should be ashamed of himself. I mean, I think it's an embarrassment that the man is actually taking that amount of money," Hillard said. The attorney hired to look into the contract is being paid for with money from the district's general fund. Wayne Township says it's not clear yet how much that will cost. The board has also asked Dr. Thompson to resign as Superintendent Emeritus Now the school board did not even figer out that it was going to cost them before sighn off on the contract? The kids and teachers get the cuts and upper people running the schools get rich.

Richmond, Indiana -Thousands of motorcycles are expected to converge in downtown Richmond, IN on Saturday, April 9, 2011. These motorcycles will serve as an escort for two 22 ft. steel beams harvested from the World Trade Center in New York. The beams will be used as a focal point of Project 911 Indianapolis, a permanent memorial dedicated to those killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center, the crash of aircraft in Shanksville, PA and the Pentagon. Project 9/11 Indianapolis will become a part of the Indianapolis city landscape that includes the USS Indianapolis Memorial and the Medal of Honor Memorial, and will be dedicated on September 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the deadly terrorist attacks on America. if you look at the link I put in and click on it and read it. You would see what I was tell about. When you have vista or windows 7 64 bit and install ie9 you have to install the 64 bit. But when you install it you get the 32 bit version to. If you hit your start button and tell it to show all programs and then look for the ie9 you will see ie9 64 bit and then under it you will see ie9 that is the 32 bit version. They are saying that the 32 bit version is a little faster than the 64 bit one. I don't know why but the people that thest them says it is.

kj5ix if you installed the 64 bit you also have the 32 bit installed. You may have to make you a short cut to it. The 32 bit is faster. Instead what you need to do is to download the 64-bit version of IE 9. Yes, I know, it’s the version you don’t want if you want great Web browser performance, just stick with me. After you’ve done this, if you look at your All Programs menu, you’ll see, right under Internet Explorer (64-bit), “Internet Explorer,” that’s the 32-bit version. That’s right, when you install the 64-bit version, just like a Cracker-Jack prize, you get the real prize–32-bit IE 9–at the bottom of the box. Here is a article on it in the link below. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/networking/installing-32-bit-ie-9-on-64-bit-windows/802?tag=content;search-results-rivers
