  1. Last month out riding. A rider ask me if I had ever seen the grave in the middle of the road. It is 5 or 5 1/2 miles south of Franklin Indiana east of U.S. 31 on 400S. So I had to get out today so I rode out to see it.

  3. I was reading on the Pashnit motorcycle forum this morning and seen this thread. I never gave that much thought about tire pressure gauges reading right. Here the thread. http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28054
  4. I like Turtle Wax Ice. If there is any ruber close to where youe waxing and get some on it. It will wipe off and not leave a white stuff. It might make the ruber shine.
  5. thanks Rick
  6. I had trouble down shifting on my 05 RSTD a few years ago. It would up shift just fine. Pull over a look at the heel toe shifter. The bolt holding the heel toe shifter on was loose. When I went to down shift with the bolt loose it was letting the shfter hit the footboard. Took me a minute to tighen up.

  8. Thanks for sharing Bummer. I will have to try and make that ride next year. You hit some roads that look like what the guys out in California call goat trails.
  9. With the weather being so dry here in Indiana this summer. The weather man keep saying the fall colors would come earlier this year. That they would not last long. Don't know if this is going to be true or not. But here is some video I got out looking. On Oct 6 2010 I rode 450, U.S. 50 ,446, and 45. A 217 miles rider for me. Then on Oct 9 2010 I rode down 37 to Sulphur. Then down 66 to Cannelton a 319 mile day. 16. I was thing my nex bike I might get a Goldwing. For some reason I was looking on Greg List. I ran across this add. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/1932148949.html It look like a good price for the condition it looks like it in $5300. I look at the retail value up on KBB $6565 and Trade in value (Good Condition) $4525. The Voyager kit is $4095 Which I would take off and store it So I email the guy no phone number on the add. I was going to go look at it. But the bike is not in Indy it in Montana. Here is the email the seller sent me. Hello, I am selling this motorcycle because my unit has been sent back to Afghanistan and don't want it get old in my backyard. The price is low because I need to sell it in one week. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident.I do have the title , clear, under my name. The motorcycle has 28,788 miles, year 1996 It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad $5,300.The motorcycle is in Great Falls, MT, in case it gets sold I will take care of shipping. Let me know if you are interested, email back. Regards, Daniel Swaine If it is not a scam and some knew of someone that wanted a Voyager Kit for a Wing. You colud sell the kit and have a nice Goldwing could be a good deal. I just want buy anything like that of the net unless I can see and ride it. I was thinking I would get it for a second bike.
  17. Like I said in a post above I love the ME880. I get my tires at Cycle Outfitters. I went down there today to make sure they had the 150/80 for the front and to check the date on them. I ask them if they had heard about chunks of rubber coming off. They said yes. They said it is from running the tire pressure to low. That the way the tread angle out that the core is not made to hold up with low pressure. So keep a check on the pressure and they will not give you any problems. They said they have had people come in for new tire and the one they had on just had 10 pounds of pressure in it.
  18. one of the easy ways I have found to resize pictures for the web is to use a power toy for xp. Called Image Resizer. You just go to a photo and right click and it will be a option in the menu. But look at the advance options of it. I make a new folder inside the one where the pictures are and call it for the web. That way I make sure I down screw up the originals. Here is a link for xp. Just scroll down to the right side of the page till you see Image Resizer. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx For Windows Vista or Windows 7 here is a link for a program that does the same thing. Microsoft quite doing power toys for Vista and 7. http://avs4you.com/AVS-Image-Converter.aspx??type=GoogleAdWordsContent&gclid=CKWqlr-cgqQCFdj75wodXzBNJA
