I'm planning on riding from Chicago to Anchorage Alaska in a couple years. Anybody ever ride the Alaskan highway on thier RSV??? Pointers?? Tips??? Etc...???

Could everyone keep thier eye out for "GOOD DEAL" on a low milage used RSV midnight. I've watched several on ebay, search tempest, cycle trader and and power sports network. It seems most sellers think thier bikes are made of gold. If anyone come across one shot me a pm. I've been two years without riding, its tearing me up! Figure if I can find one in the next few months I'll spend the winter getting it set up the way I like:) The best deal I've seen so far was that 2004 repo on ebay but the auction was only 3 days which left no time to inspest it.

I'm interested in finding someone who has a saddlemen seat for an RSV. I want to buy a new saddlemen seat but I really hate to pay for the seat and shipping only to find that I don't like it. Then have to go through the trouble of wrapping it back up and paying shipping plus a re-stocking fee. I was hoping that someone on this website might have a saddlemen seat on thier bike who lives anywhere within 250 miles of Albany, Georgia and wouldn't mind if I just sat on thier bike for a few minutes just to see if the saddlemen seat is the seat for me. Four of us are headed to eastern Tenn. in late June for a six day vacation in the great Smokey Mts. This will be our first extended motorcycle tour and the first time to the area. My wife and I will be on our 08 RSV and our friends are taking thier 08 GLwing with a piggybacker. I would like to hear some about your favorite towns, sites, motels, resturants and twisty roads. Any advise on things to avoid would be welcome as well. Thanks for your help.

I have a 93 Venture Royale and it's very uncomfortable trying to keep my feet on the floor boards has any body moved thier shifter and foot brake forward, or do you have to redue the saddle to move your hinny backwards. Thanks -
On an earlier thread I posted that I had bought an 84 VR off Ebay from a fellow member. Now I'm weighing options on how to get the bike from Central PA to Atl, Ga. And I was wondering if any members from that area were planning a trip south by cage and would consider picking the bike up and towing it south. Of course I would offset thier travel expenses by paying them for thier time and trouble. I would also be glad to meet them down south closer to Atlanta if they were not planning to come to or through Atlanta. Any takers?

After having a some experiance on 2008 Roadking I gotta say I'm impressed. Thier new motor the 96 cube is smooth and the bike accelerates well. Looks like they are getting thier act together. Coming out with Hydraulic clutches, 2nd Gen ABS, 6 gal fuel tank, and 6 speed tranny. Thier stereos sound good, I gotta hand it to them they are coming around. Still need liquid cooling. Now if they put that Vrod motor in thier bikes.

ok well i have my carbs synched now and i've adjusted the idle but the bike is still getting poor MPG and still seems to have a lower top speed. is thier any way to lean out the Air fuel mixture? or is that what the idle screw does?

I've had the slash cut tips on my bubs now for about 4 years and was thinking of changing them to the Fishtails or Sharkfins. Has anyone put them on thier RSV ride? Some pictures would be great.
