  2. WOW I guess I should pay more attention, I thought you guys were talking about this site. Afte waking up and looking at what was said I now understand that it is the venturers site not this one. I alos let mine expire over there
  3. Is there a reason you let it expire and didn't renew
  4. That's at the end of your driveway isn't it?
  5. Actually he wasn't from Denver he was named Denver:confused24:
  6. I have J&M headsets and have for 4 years and they are trouble free so far. I can run my Sirius through the system on the bike plus if I need to run a GPS which I very seldom do I can run it through the system on the bike and hear it. The disadvantage with the scala is everyone has to have it you are riding with to communicate.
  7. DING DING DING..................we've got a winner:stickpoke:

  10. Hey Mark, better watch out that blind squirrel may find a custom grill cover to build his nut house out of.
  11. Dan, I understand the champions won't work in the first gen's due to the lack of compression and they foul out due to the oil getting by the oil rings in them old motors. When you ride a bike from this century they work fine.
  12. Thanks, You know you could go ride a little with us if you want. We plan on being in Mountain Home one day. We could at least meet for lunch or something. I appreciate your offer of the shop and such and I will keep your number just in case since you never know what is going to happen. Makes it nice to know their is someone close to help just in case. Let me know if you want to ride or meet for lunch. Rick
  13. Better By it. They are great bikes and that price is at least $3000-$3500 dollars under what the bike is worth. Here is a 2001 for $7000 just to compare http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2001-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-101977968 PS If you don't buy it le the board know someone on here will.
  14. Well, I'll be darned, I run chanpion plugs in My 2000 venture and it runs fine. Never any problmes. I change plugs around 15,000 miles. They look fine when I take them out and when I put new ones in the bike runs the same. Starts great and I get 39 MPG. The reason I decided on Champions is they are easier to get in and out since they are a smaller plug wrench wise.
  15. . Put an upgraded clutch sping in and then in about another 45,000 miles go ahead and do the friction plates. You won't need them now.
  16. Looks Good Mike:thumbsup2:

  21. Fun Fun Fun................... and a few of us are doing a Deadwood South Dakota ride in June also. Oh and I forgot B2 mom and Dads in May. I better stock up on oil and filters, looks like I will be changing it every 3 weeks or so.
  22. Just booked this place down by Marshall Arkansas for a week the middle of April. Going down with my wife and another couple from this board (Bryan52577 and Lisa). 23. Ignition switch problems also.
  24. Mine makes that noise sometimes when I first start it. Not sure what it is but I set the idle up about 100 rpms more and it doesn't do it any more. Before I raised the idle it didn't do it all the time and would go away after a short warm up
