Well we made it to Arkansas dodging rain, hail, and tornado's on the way down last weekend. We arrived to our cabin to find out that the owner had no idea what a touring motorcycle was. Our cabin was straight up the side of the hill. It was wet and we were pulling trailers. Very challenging to get there and I emailed them and told them to tell others that it was not safe for bikes. Other than that we had a great time and the cabin was wonderful and secluded. We rode about 1500 miles around Arkansas and enjoyed every road we were on (except the cabin hill climb). Weather was wonderful and sunny. Left Marshall Arkansas Saturday morning around 9:30 am and arrived home at 9:30 pm. It was a long day, rode a little over 600 miles and it was cold later in the day. Confused as to why the north captain is worried about Arkansas. Does the north team not try for the north states and south for the south. Nope, each team needs to get all lower 48 states. So is does not matter what state you live in or what team you are on. The object is to get all of the 48 states first. So a person must decided and then go from there. Now if everyone would prefer I can divide up the states to 24 apiece and we can move on from there

OK, went for a couple hundred mile ride today and along the way just happened to be in Springfield, Illinois which also happens to be the state capitol. So here are the pics. I also had a friend suggest I put a thumb drive in the baton and then all the riders can add their pictures of the state capitol they get a pic of and when we get it all done I will make a web page that will include all the pics, dates that each capitol was accomplished and so forth. I thought it was a great idea so am going to pick one up tomorrow. Now to get the next person to carry the baton and get a pic. I am leaving Saturday the 14th of April for Marshall Arkansas. If anyone wants to meet up to get the baton and get Arkansas let me know. Thanks

There is really nothing you can do. Preach, Preach Preach about safety. You can tell her all about the accidents, how unsafe they are but she is going to do what she wants. Do you best to talk her into a safety class. Explain she will learn something since even us old timers that have been riding for ever have learned from these courses. Let her read what everyone here has said and let her know there is about a thousand years experience here. Other than that really not much else you can do. Have here set on a cratch rocket and then set on a cruiser maybe that will change her mind.

I was going to go to the Illinois Capitol today but I finally accepted a position after 2 1/2 years of being out of work so I have to do paperwork and get a physical. Guess I will do it next week.

I get a whole season of riding out of a set of tires, it's not my fault there are 3 Riding seasons here Spring Summer and Fall. 3 sets three seasons.

I see you work for Arkansas State University, isn't there a bike show there on Saturday April 21st? If so we may have to stop by on our way home.
