  1. I have the extra braces for support on mine, plus I never had any problem before I put them on
  2. I use a floor jack and then use jack stands under the crash bars to hold it up.
  3. Well got it apart and it broke at the grip. So Mike I need the pull cable. The one that goes in on top ot the housing where the grip is. Got one?
  4. Joe Thanks for the advice, I will do that while I have things apart
  5. Yes I do have a manual Bob. Do you know where the cruise wheel is located? What you said makes sense as to what may have happened. Thanks for the info. I am going to start tracking down the problem tomorrow and I am also putting in new friction plates so guess it will be a wrenching day.
  6. OK I haven't seen this covered so here is my question. I was pulling into a driveway today about 35 miles from hame and went to twist on the throttle and nothing, no warning, no issues before this. It still had the return pull pul but nothing for throttle. Now has anyone had this happen and if so did the cable break or just come loose. Makes it really hard to ride without the throttle. Any help would be appreciated before I start to tear it apart. Thanks
  7. Craig, I live between Peoria and Bloomington Il and if you need a place to crash for the night we have plenty of room, hot shower and a grage for the bike. You are more than welcome to spend the night. And who knows may ride aways with you when you leave. Rick

  9. Here are a couple of links to a friend of mines custom trike shop. he will build anything you want. He has built all the different kits over the years. Give him a call and tell him I told you to call him and he will give you prefessional advice on the pros and cons of each kit and will expect nothing in return for the advice. For that matter he would build it for you. He also has 8 or 10 goldwing trikes already built and ready to go. https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/D-G-Trikes/192031247568171?sk=info http://www.dgtrikes.com/

  14. Dan If I read it correctly it is a dealer and the pictures are what appears to be a dealers store. I'd contact them and see. Plus you are going to pay for it till you see it right. Plus why would he want to do it through ebay if it is listed on Craigs List. Tell him you will be up to look at it and if you two work out a deal you will pay green cash money.

  19. You guys have me so confussed on what type, brand and weight of oil to run that I couldn't decide so I don't run any. As for the different weights, Now I am really confussed on that. I took 5 different types/brands of oil all in a quart bottle and weighed all of them and they all weighed the same:confused24: :rotf::rotf:

  21. I believe that comment was made in a post replying to me and I DID NOT take offense to it Just an FYI
  22. May I ask a question without it turning into another lengthy debate. I read an article in Motorcycle Cruiser magazine about this same issue and the one point they kept saying was that if it was a good idea then why does ALL motorcyels come with motorcycles tires and why does Dunlap, Avon. Bridgestone, Michelin, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and HD recommend against them? I am really curious because with the miles I ride it would be great to not have to change my back tire 2 times a year. I am not siding either way just trying to figure it outi I do like the part that people say it stops better. I hate the way my RSV locks up the back tire. Here is a video of a venture.
