  1. Now that is strange I'm 6'3 and my RSV fits right under me flat footed, the GW has enough room between me and the seat I could add a bed pillow under it.. not sure if the GW I sat on had stock saddle or not...guess it could have been wider....not sure ,just know I fit my RSV....but it is still heavy as you know. thats the hradest thing i had to get used to was the weight coming off 0f a Warrior
  2. guys i have read the post and have decided to join in..... i have a 2006 RSV... It is all stock as far as seat, shocks, bars etc.... I am 5'5" tall and 168 lbs... I can sit on my bike with my feet flat on thr ground....I can add pics if you wanna see. I completely agree that a bike should "fit" and there are things that can be done to most to make one do so. Having said that it sounds like the guy that fell over that was mentioned at the beginning of this thread had other issues besides stature. the guy on the Dyna saw the water and freaked as mentioned earlier. btw....I cannot touch on a GW , but have no desire to do so... my 2c....
  3. Thanks guys.... seems they could have had a better plan but whatever works. Love the bike so far...went from a hotrod 2002 Yamaha Warrior that was incredible in performance to a lot more comfort. old bones need soft seats !!!!!!
  4. ok before I ask I already feel really stupid..... When checking the engine oil onmy 06 thru the little sight window should the oil level be between the lines when it is leaning on the stand or when the bike is straight up and down ? I am going to assume until one of you guys enlighten me that it is while on the stand...since you can't hold the darn thing up whilst standing on your head to see the window hidden behind the frame tube. Thanks for the help....more dumb questions to come. Kenny
  5. full tank...... little to no hwy miles ran 174 miles ....sputtered and switched to reserve ran 3.4 miles on reserve filled tank with 4.55 gallons down to one bar when i switched no low fuel light ever came on must be broken
  6. i was in a hurry and forgot to look.....i am going to make it happen again and will post im not a smart man.....momma said pay more attention
  7. Being in the boat business we run into the ethanol question a lot.... here's the skinny a model T ford engine or any other gasoline engine will run on ethanol fuel... the problems are the fuel lines, tank liner material etc... ethanol/alcohol breaks down these components and eventually shoves the little pieces and goo into the carb or injectors.....henceforth killing the engine it would not/could not just automatically shut one down no matter what brand of bike even if it was a harlhondzuki or a real bike like a Yamaha Venture even a first gen.....lol...come on guys its a joke.
  8. to keep things interesting you have to mention momma trains pick up trucks or gettin drunk so someone add another verse to this thread
  9. i was riding thje other evening on my new to me 06 and the bike cut out like out of fuel....did the wiggle wiggle and she kept chugging along.....still had two bars on digital....no light came on.... switched to reserve bike ran dandy...stopped and got fuel all was fine not sure when light should come on
  10. An incredible venture for you nonetheless. It was a pleasure to read your story. I may be heading up toward the OKC then up to Grand Lake soon maybe we can meet up for a cup of joe. Kenny
  11. good luck twigg.... when i lived on oklahoma city we did okc to memphis and back i was on a 1200 sportster....my butt still hurts and that was 2006 my buddy was ona dyna....he faired little better
  12. Not sure if I am asking in the right place but does anyone have any extra headsets that they want to sell that will plug into my "06" Thanks, Kenny
  13. the old tall clear windshield was scratched and beyond its prime ordered this one off ebay for 66 bucks i think it was. fit perfect and looks cool to boot.... oh and i thought i would throw in a pic of my old bike 2002 Warrior for giggles still miss that throttle on the thing !!!!!
  14. I am fairly new to the site however, I have had several motorcycles and usually try to find a site for that breed. I must say the folks on here are EXTREMELY knowledgable about these bikes, even the first genners (jk) ..... Now if I could only have someone tell me how to set the radio stations it would prove my point. It is a great site and I look forward to meeting some of you. Kenny
  15. I was exiled (jk) to Oklahoma City for 6 years and rode in all the crap while there... I just maintained normal speed and grip a little tighter and be prepared to lean and weave
