  4. Change all the fluids. This includes brakes and clutch.Dont even start it until you have changed the oil and plugs .Pull off the wheels and check the pads.Pull the seat and check for everything.Check all your wiring.Animals like to chew wires. A new battery is in order.Your carbs will need help. Thats a start.
  5. Hi I bought the same camera. They are a great cheap unit. You have to download the files to your computer. Then open them up with your viewer and see what you've got.If it seems fast you will have to download another viewer and convert the files. You can pic the file format the camera records in . This is just another reason for a ride Steve.
  6. I had an 83.The only difference in that year was things like clas system , cb radio. You can only use a 83 cluster on an 83 bike. After 83 the clusters changed. There is no stop watch, dimmer, or gear indicator on an 83 in any model.
  7. I am putting RGB LED lighting on my 84.So I can change my color in any state or province and not get pulled over!!!
  8. I had no choice but to drill out my clutch reservoir top plate screws. What is the type and number of screw that I can use for a replacement.I have to bleed my front brakes and I am going to have the same problem. Thanks all.:confused24:

  13. I just sold my Honda ST1100.It was a great bike .Lots of power and fabulous on twisties. I did not like the seating position on it.I moved mine on to someone I know who is about to love it.Find something that you like and go for it,I went back to a Venture for its comfort and ease of riding. Also, I have less of a chance of losing my drivers license on it...!!! :cool10:
  14. Well, I checked for spark on all cylinders. All was good. I changed all my plugs. They were badly carbon-ed up.I hit the start button and it started instantly. It blew out all kinds of black smoke for the first few min.Now it runs like a champ. It purs like a kitten.Nothing out of the pipes at all. Thanks for your help. Now on to other things to fix.
  15. I have been looking at Victory Vision's.I love the bike and maybe one day may own one.
  16. You truly have a beautiful example. My first Venture was a low mileage 83 Royal.I sold it and bought a Honda.Could not get that old girl out of my head so I bought a blonde 84 Royal and am in the process of restoring her. These are fabulous bikes and you will have lots of fun and enjoyment out her. Enjoy my friend and welcome to the Venture family.!!!
  17. Hi. I had a pair of these floor boards on my 84 Venture Royal. They fit fine. I swapped them with a member here Yamamike who put them on his 83.

  22. I was talking to a guy that had a Burgman 650 scooter that he rode across Canada last summer. He said it was a delight to ride and was fabulous on fuel. The only drawback is the small gas tank.He could not say enough great things about it.
  23. Lets see.I am trying to get mine started. When I do, I am going to bleed the clutch, change out the rear brake caliper and change all the pads. Then, I will fix my air system.I traded all my floor boards with Yamamike already.I have chrome disk covers to put on, chrome caliper covers to put on and rewire the lighting with relays.I have a beautiful Markland rear fender kit I have and I am undecided if I will use it.This bike has another kind of kit on it. I have lots to do this winter.!!!
