  2. I also have a slipping clutch. 1989 1300 VR. well my clutch was slipping, then we got some bad weather and the bike sat for about three weeks. then when I got on to ride, my clutch was totaly gone. had nothing!! couldn't even get into first gear. I thought that maybe I had a leak and all the fluid leaked out. I could find no sign of any leaks. I bled the clutch till I had clean fluid. it worked for a while but now it's getting worse and I think it's about to go away again. no signs of leaks still. Any Ideas? I'm desperate! Summers almost here.

  6. Hey condor, Let me know when your ready to go for a ride. I'm mostly always up for a meet and eat. Think it's gona start raining next week. I'm needing a 26,000 mile service at 29,000 miles, any tips on where to take my scoot for that or tips on what all I need done?
  7. Yes ,I have found the same here for the most part. Hard to find good honest people that work at most bike or auto shops any more. If you don't do your homework before you go to the dealer for anything. and know exactly what you need and how much it should cost and how long it should take to do the work. there gona spot you coming a mile away with $$ in there eyes.
  8. Riding year round over here in Sac town. little cool in the morning only mid 40's to high 60's. think we got some rain coming though next week. Thats ok The jeep is back on the road for the rainy season:thumbsup2:, with new steering in place. I might be able to keep it between the lines now. :guitarist 2:
  9. Sorry to here about your son. I have not had any flu shots for the past ten years. they're is a reason for this. i found out what was in these flu shot and many other vaccines out there. here is one of many web sites out there that will explain better than i can about the h1n1 and whats in it. go to .... www.mercola.com punch in h1n1 or flu shots and read for yourself. I pray your son gets better soon Bassplayer:guitarist 2:
  10. Hey Condor, Thanks for the fork brace. It works great! Got it on just in time for the rain. Good thing I just got my jeep running again. I've been puttin it off all summer. It was nice meeting you this past weekend. If you ever need any help with any of your scoots. give a holler! Maybe I'll learn something.
  11. Thanks, thats the same problem I'm having. Now I have a direction to go in.
  12. I just joined a few weeks ago. I think it's a great site.
  13. Sorry this has nothing to do with the floor boards. I'm new to all this fourm stuff and this site seams to be a cool place to meet people and find out info about our bikes. I just don't know how to start a thread. I can reply but not sure what to click on to start a thread. can anyone help. Also while I'm here I just got an 89 VR, Is it a good idea to get a beefed up fork brace to improve the bikes handling? and is $60.00 a good price for one? Thanks BP:guitarist 2:
