Yes, they had to extend the exhaust out to clear the larger saddlebags and rear "bumper" on the MK2. I think they mount the same though...

Why were you taking a leak on the roof??? Seriously, what you need to install is a heat tale in the gutter to keep the water flowing. Your contractor probably just replaced your damaged gutters without fixing the source of the previous damage. It's not the fault of the gutter installation of where they are, it's ice buildup! Sooo, why is the snow melting in the first place? Heat loss from the attic due to poor insulation!

I think she threw a rod; what do you think?
bongobobny replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
As Earl said, yup, you threw a rod!! Unless you had the engine apart and did some kind of a mod to the engine it should be under warranty, and will probably get a new engine out of the deal, as it will possibly be more cost effective to replace rather than rebuild. Glad you were able to get to the side of the road OK especially with the rear tire gettring oil soaked. Make sure the rear tire gets cleaned with a good detergent!! The oil puddle looks like the oil was fairly clean. Hopefully you have been keeping records of oil changes so the dealer can't say you didn't keep the oil changed... -
At that price it won't last long! All Valk's are in high demand, I would love one too!!

Wayne PB Blaster is just a brand, although is is a vrery good one. Any penetrating oil should do the trick. Barke fluid also makes for a decent penetrating oil but don't get it on plastic or paint... -
Yes, I enjoy a good cup of tea now and then but normally have coffee in the AM. I enjoy herbal teas as they do not have caffene and are a nice relaxing evening drink. I also like green tea for the health benefits... Red Zinger Mandrin Orange Sleepytime peppermint to name a few...

I was there from July to June and caught the tail end of Hamburger Hill. Yes, loved to watch the Cobras do their workout, and the Quad Dusters on the perimeter as well. Always wanted to fly a Cobra, loved the position while flying. The hamburger stand was at the NCO club and sold a great hamburger!! Yes, I remember drinking a fair share of Falstaff but I was more of the "other" crowd if you know what I mean. Yup, drank a lot of Fresca Orange as well!! In a warped way I sort of miss life there as it was our own little world, but never want to go back there...

Yah!! A couple of blasts with PB Blaster every few hours followed by a few firm wacks with a rubber mallet each time should loosen them. If that does not work then a little heat should do the trick. Are the pipes loose from the engine?? If you can get the pipes down and out of the way then twisting them a bit should break them free!! -
'69 - '70 with Battery A 377th Arty. We flew Hueys and Loaches. I was the Radar O'Riley of the unit. Waaaaaay Cool!! Remember monsoon season? The hamburger stand??
