  1. Yes, As far as I know, and Don can elaborate if I'm wrong, they loose their name sake if someone else wants it.
  2. I also use one of the Craftsman lifts, funny thing is most of the lifts are made by the same manufacturer, so the brand name isn't really an issue If I'm not mistaken the Larin is a bit different as the support pads are a bit differently sized. Larry I believe makes a few modifications for the Larin lift, might want to PM him to be sure.
  3. If you get a chance give us a call and we'll see about meeting you for dinner
  4. Don knew that many folks wouldn't pay the money to be supporting members. This is fine as it makes the site more manageable. There were many members that hadn't been on the site even though they were registered. there were some that joined just to sell a Venture. Those that dont join is their loss, not ours
  5. We'll keep you both in our thoughts
  6. The plugs dont look terrible, electrodes are still nice and defined, perhaps the dealer will be the best bet
  7. Ricardo, It's not uncommon for a tire to sit around for a little while. Depending upon how the tires are rotated out of the warehouse, your could just be the luck of the draw. As long as they were stored properly, you should be too concerned with the 14 months. I know your thinking that you dont know how they were stored, I have no good responce for that. I have mounted LOTS of Avons on members bikes as I have a friend that owns a Honda dealership. If a tire takes what I believe a lot of weight I will break it back down and rotate it and try it again. A good tireman will do this also as not all tires and rims are the same. I wouldn't worry a lot about it, be careful to scuff them in and go out and enjoy the new bike
  8. Clay, I'm no expert, but I'm with Randy on this one. We have a lot of work to do to your bike, so dont go pulling your hair out too soon...we'll be down there before you know it
  9. Another Thank You from me here, great looking men you have there, I know your very proud of them Semper Fi
  10. Great pics! Looks like you folks will be having a great time tonight, good to see that. I almost didn't recognise George in that short sleeve button down, it didn't have the sleeves ripped off
  11. Your gonna learn 1 way or the other...good to hear it wasn't anything too serious
  12. HA! Thats the spirit Ruffy, he'll have stories for hours at the next M&E he makes it to.
  13. Good to hear you got it installed with no issues
  14. Larry's adapter is top notch, he is a master fabricator in my book, and I have been doing it for better than 20 years. I have one as well and have used it numerous times. Anyone with a G2 that does their own work needs to have one in their garage.
  15. Dennis, It has a 5 year warranty...let the dealer look at it if you trust them. I would also check the steering head bearings, I know it sounds dumb, but I have found strange vibrations disappear by tightening the steering head and the swing arm.
  16. I have wanted a pot belly pig for some time now, I think they are pretty cool. I was going to name him Ham or Dinner
  17. Oh man SLEEPERHAWK! good luck to you bud, you wont make it home sane after time with THAT crew
  18. Cars are actually my 1st love, I'm a gearhead from back when I was in my teens. I would still be into them, but it's so expensive to redo a car anymore, and I dont have that kind of cash Those are some very nice rides, I especially like that VW Bug with the V8 in it. That would be one squirrely car even if the motor wasn't built
  19. If you have a large piece of glass or something VERY flat, thats what I would use. I actually set the sandpaper on the flat surface and swirl the plate on top of it in a circular motion. This is how I have done all of the clutch upgrades that I have, which is about a dozen now, with no issues. I have installed all but one of them with the PCW kit, you wont have any problems with it
  20. Dont know how I missed this thread when it 1st came out but my very 1st bike (other than a mini bike) was a 1980 Kawasaki KX125. My very 1st street bike was a 1975 Kawasaki 750 triple 2 stroke, that was a VERY fast bike. It was good reading the responces, like many of you, I have been on 2 wheels for a long time
  21. When we had the '07 International rally in Ft. Collins, CO. I didn't get the chance to ride anywhere nears what I wanted to. I do know that the Candian crew did about 2K miles there when we attended the rally. My greatest regret is I didn't get but 300 miles in there, but I'm looking to go back
  22. I have used 400 grit wet/dry on a very flat surface, you dont need to go crazy, just take the glaze off. What clutch did you end up getting? I have had great luck with the PCW out of Schenectady NY.
  23. See what you started Tim
  24. Looks good Tim, I'll be interested in seeing how much you can get them for
