  1. I just completed the TVA Fire Academy last week, and when I got home, my defenses were down. I had been home about 2 hours Friday, when the flu hit me hard. Everyone seems to think it was the H1N1, but not positive. I was shivering like crazy, and my temp kept trying to hang around 103 degrees F. I had a bad headache, swollen glands in my neck, sore throat, and overall weakness. I didn't freak out. I drank LOTS of cold water, used ice packs, and took lots of Ibuprofen....and I waited it out. After the third time of sweating it out, the fever went away, and hasn't returned. I still have a bit of a sore throat and headache, but I think they will pass with time also. The important thing is...I kept my butt at home, and didn't go out spreading it around. What a way to spend my Labor Day weekend. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

    Good morning

Welcome to the site! We'll be in Murfreesboro on the weekend of the 12th. My company (TVA) is having our big annual picnic and stuff there. We are staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel.

  6. I feel your pain. Last week, I had... 1) Alternator went out on Wifes' truck. Fixed it myself...$135 2) Well tank sprung a big leak, and had to change whole system over, except for the pump. Fixed it myself...$375 3) Central air unit stopped working. Capacitor had went out. Fixed it myself...$40 Whew, glad I didn't have to hire all of that out..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  7. Remember, if the stator coil shorts, and effectively makes it shorter, then you have less conductor cutting the magnetic lines of force, so your output decreases. Just my 2 cents. I got here late. Good reading here guys.
  8. Excellent!!
  9. All I know is...I put gas in the bike.....then I twist and ride...then I put gas in again...I don't really measure how much I'm gettin'....I just ride...that's what it's really all about.
  10. We are hoping to make it. Not sure if one night or two...still thinking on it.
  11. Too far away for us....but we are seriously thinking about the southern Indiana ride though...it just might be doable with my schedule.
  12. Yes, I can guarantee you that I burn way more coal than anyone here...lol Actually, I work in a coal-fired power plant, and we burn many tons of coal a day.
  13. It's sad, but he's sooo right.
  14. Dano is correct. You should have 2 bolts in the strut that you can loosen, and adjust the camber. Some vehicles require the purchase of "cam bolts", that are offset, and allow more adjustment as you rotate them. These may have come stock from the factory. I used to do alignments a few years back. EDIT: See those two round holes on the right? http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/strut.jpg
  15. A small pinch on the inside of the thigh will cure that.
  16. C'mon, give us an addy. I'll send you some Pepsi(although Coke tastes much better)....lol...especially when it's got whiskey in it.
  17. I run a strap thru the rear wheel, and tie it to the rear corners of the trailer/truck. Loop around the tire/wheel once first.
  18. Good luck! You're in our thoughts here.
  19. Hey Pat, those two are a lot older and have a lot more clothes on than the one he had riding with him the other day...lol J/K....he wouldn't do that!
  20. www.superantispyware.com Works great!
  21. I helped the tire shop mount both of my E3's on my 1st Gen, and they went on smooth as butter.
  22. You keep comparing it to the wing, but the BMW was around 22k last time I checked. I believe it's in about the same price range as a Wing. I could be wrong. I was seriously considering getting a K1200LT a while back. I had heard several times that they were having final drive problems, so I decided to hold off.
  23. Definitely wasn't expecting to hear this, as I thought he was starting to recover. We will keep his family in our thoughts here.
  24. Hang in there James. You'll be back home soon. Sorry to hear it Brother.
  25. Dang, I don't use facebook.
