Tapatalk for Blackberry?
Scooter Bob replied to Freebird's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
It's an APP that makes the VR (or any other forum site that's enabled for it) much easier to use and navigate on a mobile phone. I've got it on my android powered phone a month ago, it beats the H3!! out of trying to navigate the full content web site. Works great on the Android OS. Hope this helps, Scooter Bob- 5 replies

Suggestions for Iowa-Wisc Mississippi river ride
Scooter Bob replied to Bwhite's topic in West North Central States
$7 will buy you a boat ride across the river if you get south of Prairie Du Chien another 30 miles or so. Cassville ferry runs from Cassville, WI to Turkey Point, IA. About a mile of gravel in the IA side, but no big deal, we've done it several times. As others have mentioned, you can't go wrong finding nice places to ride along the river! Maybe see you at the Leaf Looker Weekend the Bryan mentioned. Later, Scooter Bob PS. That darned inflation. I see it's up to $8 for a bike now, and only open on Friday-Sunday outside of the summer months. http://www.cassville.org/rates%20and%20schedule.htm -
I'm thinkin' Angel left for the weekend to visit relatives, and he had to drink his whiskey alone, and sleep alone. Or... he drank wine, instead of whiskey? Hang in there Monty, Scooter Bob

The GF already hated the looks, period. I figured I could get over the looks, if the bike was useful. And I already knew I didn't like the smaller luggage room and the goofy saddle bags. That being said, the little bit I rode it (low fuel light was on), it felt lighter handling (more nimble) than the RSV. Plenty of power. Loved the left thumb rocker switch that moved the windscreen up or down. I won't look at them again though, until the luggage room is addressed. I had wanted to ride something other than HD after 18 years, and had been waiting for the OTHER american made company to come out with a bagger. Got tired of waiting 5 years ago, and I'm glad I didn't hold out for it. Later, Scooter Bob

It's in the books Ken. But we might have to wait that long for "a chance to sit down and do some real BS and sip some refreshments together". I'll probably be at PIP Saturday afternoon. Later, Scooter Bob

Just a bad dealer I hope. A couple years ago we stopped in the dealer North of Oshkosh, WI. They also sell yamys. Pulled in with the RSV loaded with camping gear on the trunk and a weeks worth of dust from all the gravel roads we were on. He saw me looking at a Vision sitting outside and asked if I wanted to ride it. I said sure. He didn't ask for DL or helmet or anything. Just said keys in it. Took it for a short ride, and we both got free T shirts out of it! Later, Scooter Bob

My ElectraGlide had one. Last thing I needed when riding to work in the cold was a gauge to REMIND me just how cold it was! LOL Seriously though, they sell some little battery operated ones in the auto gadget section at big box stores. Later, Scooter Bob

Whoa there Bryan! You know what's coming not long after that ride in Oct. I'll just wait patiently and enjoy the warmer weather for a few more weeks. If you need to get out some, there's always the Pork in the Pines next weekend! Later, Scooter Bob

I had a triple gauge set on the winshield of my old shovelhead when I headed west in 1990. While stuck in traffic in Sturgis, oil temp before the cooler was pushing 400 degrees. I wished I was like everyone else at that point. I knew my nuts were frying, but wish I didn't now how hot it really was. It normally ran upper 200's on a hot day with my feet flat on the floorboards. Lay them out on the pegs on the crash bars, and it would be up 30 degrees in a couple miles. Must be the straight up legs pushed air to the back cylinder? The aluminum engines give up a lot more heat than the old iron cylinder shovel did. I don't know how hot the evo's and twin cam HD's or any others run. Later, Scooter Bob

Morgan Carbtune here too. It has steel rods inside the 4 vertical tubes instead of mercury. A little over $100. I think you'll find that's what most of us use here. Later, Scooter Bob

Probably the "content monitor" flagged it and deleted. We all know it's been awful hot lately, and it didn't like the amount of clothing you were wearin' in the pic Mike. Thanks Freebird for the "content monitor":clap2::crackup::crackup: Later, Scooter Bob The current target is.... A pic of You and your Bike and a roadside fruit or veggie stand.

Boy Don! What have you done?? Even the Yamy folks have got yer number! Actually, I had bounced around a few pages for a couple minutes before it showed up with the poll offer. Later, Scooter Bob

And this was quite a big rig at the show. The tractor itself in 45 feet long, and pulls a 53 foot trailer. The truck parade lasts about 1-1/2 hours. Later, Scooter Bob

I just visited the site to get info on Star Touring for someone else on here. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/modelhome/586/0/home.aspx While I was there, I took a look at the Royal Star line up, just for laughs. They offered an on line poll about their site, so I took it, and let them know what I wasn't happy about. Here's the things I put in the comment boxes. Trying to find info on 2011 Royal Star Venture models. Instead I see you're still advertising 09 models! What's coming in 2011 for the Venture??? Found info quickly I just wasn't happy with what I found out about the Venture model line. Will the venture be around in 2011, and will it be the same as my 2005, or a new bike with FI and more power? Check it out, and give Mama Yama a piece of your mind! Later, Scooter Bob

I've got the Show Chrome brand that came from Dennis Kirk. It's 12 3/4" from the top of the chrome strip to the top, and 5" wider than stock. I'm 5-10, and look over the top of it. I catch a little wind, but not much. I have it because I don't like lookin through them. Welcome aboard, Scooter Bob
