Me too, but I got it the second time! Good Read:thumbsup2:, Scooter Bob -
We'll be lookin' forward to you ridin' into WI Maint Day on that next year. Heck, if you can't get her going by then, it looks like it would lay in yer tear drop trailer and you could haul it over behind the RSV and we could help you out. Have fun fixin' her up Bubber. Later, Scooter Bob

I'm sure your local American Legion also has proper flag burning cerimonies on occasion. There's always Antiques Roadshow... Later, Scooter Bob

Better get a winch attached to what's left of yer chimney to help it out! LOL Later, Scooter Bob

Man, that thing works really good, still no crows around.

Are you sure it's a "Scare Crow"? I don't see any crows sitting on the arms. Oh! Maybe this one actually works right! Anyway, you got it Karl! What's next? Later, Scooter Bob

The United Way realized that it had never received a donation from the city's most successful lawyer. So a United Way volunteer paid the lawyer a visit in his lavish office. The volunteer opened the meeting by saying, 'Our research shows that even though your annual income is over two million dollars, you don't give a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give something back to your community through the United Way ?' The lawyer thinks for a minute and says, 'First, did your research also show you that my mother is dying after a long, painful illness and she has huge medical bills that are far beyond her ability to pay?' Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbles, 'Uh . . . no, I didn't know that.' 'Secondly,' says the lawyer, 'did it show that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair and is unable to support his wife and six children?' The stricken United Way rep begins to stammer an apology, but is cut off again. 'Thirdly, did your research also show you that my sister's husband died in dreadful car accident, leaving her penniless with a mortgage and three children, one of whom is disabled and another that has learning disabilities requiring an array of private tutors?' The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, says, 'I'm so sorry, I had no idea.' And the lawyer says, 'So . . . if I didn't give any money to them, what makes you think I'd give any to you?'

Damn Ken, you must have made good time, you beat us home! Kudos to Ken and Bryan and Lisa for setting this up. Great Idea! By the time we got done with breakfast and shopping at Franks, it was almost noon. We headed North out of Readstown on 131 and kept taking every little backroad that sort of went in the homeward direction. 1 hour and 40 minutes later we finally found a town big enough to have a gas station to get a bottle of water. Then we went to North Freedom to the Mid-Continent Railway Museum and looked around and took a little train ride. Had supper in Baraboo and finally had to head home. We hated to see such a wonderful weekend come to an end. Hope everyone else makes it home safe and sound, and looking forward to next year! Later, Scooter Bob and Karen

Is it 4 o'clock yet???? I got home from work at 3:15, by 3:25 the bike has been unpacked from work and repacked for the trip. Just waiting for Karen to get home, and we'll be on our way. If she gets done on time, we should be there around 6:45 (including a stop in Readstown for a case o beer and some soda for Karen's whiskey) Later, Scooter Bob

I've picked up a few tools that should get the job done. It's mostly taped and first coated now, and going easier with practice(never actually done this part before). And I'll use the wet sponge instead of sanding. Of course, if we got back from a weekend of ridin' and havin' fun with the leaf lookers, and it was all done, that would be awesome! We're doing just fine on it. Thanks , Scooter Bob

I went to Menards and bought the Beacon-Morris unit, ceiling mount, American made, 1 year warranty, 10 years on heated parts, Class B venting to the outside. The moisture issue talked me out of the Vent Free unit. Thanks for the input everyone. Now I have to go put some more mud on the walls. (cus I can't afford to hire anybody now) Thanks again, Scooter Bob PS, I won't be opening up the box for a week or so, so if anyone has thoughts, bring 'em on.

The vent free heaters I was looking at have an O2 depletion sensor. They are supposed to shut down if the O2 drops below 18%. Thanks for the input Jeff, Scooter Bob

Which begs the question....Why are so many selling them? Later, Scooter Bob

What does that mean? Did it not burn right? Did it just not heat well enough? Did it have a circulating fan? Later, Scooter Bob

Has anyone used the "blue flame" vent free wall mount heaters? Just insulated the garage, and have the drywall up (thanks IH Truck Guy), and just need to mud it yet. Wasn't quite ready to worry about which heater yet, but my two choices are both on sale right now, and I need to decide today. I have Natural Gas available to heat a 24x26x9.5 foot garage. I'm leaning for the vent free 30,000 btu over the ceiling mount vent outside 45,000 btu unit. It's less than 1/2 the $ and I don't need to cut a hole in the wall and spend another $100 to vent it. I'm looking at the ProCom vent free thermostat with fan added. Mr heater has had a similar unit in the past as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Later, Scooter Bob

Yes, it could be true. I saw this often in my HD days. When loose, you get enough current to power the lighter stuff, including pulling the starter relay, (click, click) but not always enough to turn it over. Later, Scooter Bob
