I just bought two sets of J&M elite full-face headsets. I was going to send the to J&M to have them install them in our Shoei RF1000 helmets. Then I came across this link at Edsets web site http://picasaweb.google.com/edsetsdude/2008ShoeiRF1000. I just followed the steps and went slow. It wasn't hard but it was time consuming. The only thing I did different than what the Edset page did was I off set the mics to the left side, that's the way J&M suggests. They sound great in the garage. We didn't have time to road test them today.

Nice. Looks like I'll be getting a spare remote and doing this mod. Thanks for the pics.

Yah, where are the buttons and is this a permanent install? If so, a little how to help please. I'd like to stop fishing for my remote.

I have a Shoei RF1000 full face helmet that I want to install the J&M 279ff headsets into. My problem is how to install the mic. The front liner doen't look like it comes out. Anyone ever install a headset in this helmet? Thanks for any help.

You should all buy your own copies. It's well worthe the money. Don't get me wrong here, I don't have a problem with what's going on..... but you really need your own copy to refer to.

I should have known better than to by a bike that has had no changes for nine years. I would much rather have had a bagger with 198 hp.

Maintenance NIGHTMARE

You can also get seafoam at Kragen. Good luck. -
I use Mobil 1. The last time I bought it at Cycle Gear for around $12.00 per quart. Not long ago I saw it at Kragen for $9.00. I'm getting it at Kragen this next time.

What number VMax did you get. Some one at the dealer where I bought my RSV is getting #87. What's your ###?

Anyone seen this ad? '03 RSV and Trailer for 10k
uechi kid replied to GG54172's topic in Watering Hole
It doesn't matter if the RSV will fit in that trailer. I the add is legit, it's a good deal. And if the owner has safely had that bike in that trailer it's an even better deal. -
Even before it was the law here in Cali, I always wore a helmet.

My MP3 player has a ton of classic rock. With lots of Sammy Hagar.

Honda has released their own "production chopper"
uechi kid replied to AmnChode's topic in Watering Hole
I think that Honda is about five years too last. The custom chopper boom has slowed down and recreational money is also tight. I don't think they will sell well now. -
We have a pellet stove and I have a generator that will run that.

So that means there going between 180 and 200 mph, on the street, in traffic, with wet roads. No thanks. Not my kind of fun.

I"m guessing that's why they have seperate volume controlls? Thanks for the information.

Please don't flame me. I'm still very new to the RSV and I'm also looking for good headsets etc... After reading this thread I have more questions than ever. I have read the owners manual but it is not very clear about all of the functions of the audio/cb system and how they integrate. Please point me in the right direction for this information. So I understand that the intercom mics are always live. Can you hear music when the mics are plugged in? Does the music mute when someone talks or do you have to talk over the music? When the cb is on and a transmission is received, does that mute the music or do you have to try to hear the transmission over the music? Thanks

I don't know why you want to replace your stock Venture seat with a mustang seat. I have a mustang seat on my M95 and it is a lot more comfortable than that stock seat, but the Venture's seat is way better. Just the other day I took both bikes out for a run around town. The Venture first then the M95. What a difference. The Venture seat is way better. My 2 cents.
