  1. I suppose if you have time and patience to train a dog, cat and rat to like each other, there probably wouldn't be much of a hurry to go anywhere. Laid back is not quite deep enough for him
  2. the video's are really neat - shows some riding skills. With all the people on the organ waiting list it makes me feel good that there are riders stepping up to the plate as possible organ donors - good on them !
  3. That's the Iron Horse Leather company - I looked around their site but couldn't find a bib like the picture
  4. I didn't make it to 69 years old because the government told me to, I made it because of choices that I made.
  5. I don't have a time share but we know a couple that does have one - they have no children and are very pleased with going to the same condo's year after year. They take advantage of EVERY free meal, travel bag or anything they can get free to justify their gas money getting there to listen to the sales pitch. I believe they attend one at every (or nearly) vacation just to get a free gas card or free meal. It very obviously works for them - but it's not my cup of tea -
  6. just curious - why would you swap out stock for stock ? I put RK's on my '07' after I drilled them out but I haven't heard them w/o being drilled out. btw - after opening the RK's no re-jetting seems to be required, didn't on mine
  7. Thanks and right backatcha
  8. Randy - Randy - Randy
  9. I'm not sure the cost of parts is the REAL expense when you consider the mandatory jacket, shirts, tank tops, doorags and all the other logo imbedded paraphernalia that has to be worn as a harley owner.
  10. Well, not sure what that means exactly I never did dope but I enjoy a beer or glass of wine with dinner. As a matter of fact, I keep a garage fridge for my beer and an occasional extra bottle of wine. If I'm not careful my wife sullys the sanctum with food
  11. We went to Boondocks BBQ ( a Triple 'D' ) in McConnelesville Ohio a few years ago. It wasn't too exciting but we were in the area anyway
  12. Prayers - prayers and more prayers
  13. Trike it !! You won't regret it and you can ride anytime you want, even in the rain
  14. It's no secret how I feel about them
  15. That's all I'm talking about - courtesy
  16. Mobile 1 in the bike and my truck (ouch)
  17. I understand it cost's about $40 per round -
  18. kinda neat - there's a lot of work involved. not really my cup of tea but none the less, my :clap2: to the person that designed and built it.
  19. if'n ya got a couple days ta listen, I could splain my stand on them
  20. Owen - no offense taken, I totally agree that everyone has an opinion. Perhaps I'm too old school - for as long as I can remember, a flashing headlight allows the oncoming traffic the right of way. It's a courtesy of the road usually intended or trucks (semi's) that would allow traffic to maintain some sort of continuity in congested areas. I will always invite anyone that uses a modulater to ride in front of one for 10 minutes (or longer) just to test their patience. If it doesn't become distractive then you're not as observant as a bike rider needs to be. Try it some day - and on top of that - accidents happen, regardless of how 'safe' we may think we are.
  21. I totally understand the visibility concept - what grates me is the ones that use them as a tool to intimadate cagers. I've said it before and don't mind saying it again, I think they should be outlawed in all 50 states. Or better yet make everybody that has them ride for 10 minutes with another one behind with that da%$ thing blinking in their rear view mirror. If someone is so afraid to ride depending on standard safety practices, then don't ride. ( flame suit on )
  22. Modulaters are something that's for sure - if anyone has any doubt, have one of them behind you on a 2 lane then for a few miles brag about how great they are. RideBellChain - Best is on the highway as people move out of my way when I come up behind them...I guess they think I'm "the Man". suppose that might feed the disrespect for bikes ?
  23. I stand corrected ?? I'm probably wrong again, but in some cases rpm's and speed are relative
  24. I'm not an expert but I'd bet it needs tires $$$ and the whine comes and goes at different speeds. At 55 or so mine doesn't bother me at all. I did do a quick fix for the whine on my '07' by getting a pair of RK's and drill out both ends and installing them. It gives a little rumble but not so much tahe the wife objects. The price seems more than fair, check for cracks, loose/missing bolts, especially look at both handle bar grips for abrasion (sign of a drop) look at the rotors and oil level.
  25. You're kidding - right? I wasn't prodding into his personal life, I was commenting on his excellent play.
