Advice To All and Young Folk in Particular -NOT A JOKE
Hummingbird replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
In most states, if a couple has been married for any length of time, each one has equal share in any and ALL assets accrued during that marriage. The only hope either partner has is that a civil and equitable distribution can be accomplished. Perhaps I was lucky 30 + years ago in that we were able to agree - she took a medium sized sack of cash, a couple pieces of my favorite antiques and I got everything else, the house, the bills, and anything else that resembled debt. Yeah, believe it or not, I do consider myself lucky Good Luck with your present situation - -
for gas to get back and forth to work ? I consider myself VERY lucky in that I'm retired but it still costs a couple hundred bucks a month for our 2 vehicles. ( 1 car, 1 truck )

All In One Good or Bad ?
Hummingbird replied to FROG MAN's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
In the past I've had several mac all-in-ones, really never had any issues. Never had a pc all in one tho - -

there's more than several 26's on ebay - a 28' will be fairly hard to come by. why don't you just have it custom made - there's a mfg. in Canton, ohio that'll build whatever you want.

I would think $125 a day is a pretty fair price, especially if it includes insurance

Has anybody clicked on the Google thingy just above the search bar. Pretty cool

Buying a Harley is just the beginning, it then becomes a battle as to which chrome to buy or which shirt to buy. same price don't mean to sound like I'm bashing, it's just that when someone becomes a harley owner, the mentality seems to change. I've seen several Honda owners go to Harley and then they become a walking Harley advertisement. I think it's great, guess I'm envious of the money spent on attire
-
I never owned a Harley and only rode one on one occasion. I'm too happy with my Venture to even consider changing bikes and I have noticed lately that once you own a harley or are a wannabe, it appears to be mandatory to have/wear everything you own embroidered with the Harley logo. I don't even wear a chevy hat -

The only thing I remember was that it was the first exit on 10 after leaving I 295 west. We won't be back down til probably March and by then they'll have figured out that their giving it away. If you find it and it's still $2.54, I'd fill everything that'll hold liquid.

I wonder how much difference it makes if a person doesn't twitter/facebook or other social thingys. I don't really care if anybody knows what I google or even if they know where I'm at ( as my phone does) wait, I think I turned that off

While in Florida last week I accidently found a gas station that is by now probably out of business or at least somebody lost their high paying attendant job. The street sign said $3.54 a gallon, same as everybody else - I thought Didn't pay too much attention until I got the receipt, 12.886 gallons cost $32.85 - I had to do a double take but it was real - $2.54 a gallon Since we were 750 miles from home, Linda refused to go get the truck so we could fill it up also.

We have only been on one cruise, it was with Royal Caribbean and was a 2 week cruise around Italy. Ten ports with too many sights and too many things to do but none the less a GREAT 2 weeks ( 664 pictures ) plus just sitting on the balcony outside our stateroom at night with a beverage of choice just cannot be beat. If you're going to be on the ship most of the time, I can guarantee you will increase your belt size. The food is abundant, very tasty and really hard to not over eat. We only ate once at the sit-down be served dinner because we couldn't make the designated times ( actually, didn't want to) so we ate at the buffet after a couple cocktails on the balcony.

What are some of your favorite I PHONE / ANDROID apps?
Hummingbird replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
I guess I don't have any favorite apps unless it could be my mail. I have white & yellow pages, 2 weather apps and Google and of course there's the phone option that came with my driod -
I don't know it's everywhere but Ohio will put ARMED FORCES on your driver license which will get your Lowes discount. You can get it put on when you renew or spend $5 and get a replacement made.

yep - giving up all the amenities of farm life will be difficult for a while. I still get a tingly feeling when I walk into a barn, not for reasons some may think but for the aroma. I'll bet that'll be the most difficult for you. Good luck with your search for a new domicile.

I don't know how much it costs now but it used to be $55 a year for GW associate membership. You have to own a goldwing to get full membership but the only difference is the extra cost of about $10 a year Actually, that pretty inexpensive for road coverage - I belonged to gwrra off and on for over 30 years and never used the road service once. they do have a nice monthly magazine with PLENTY of advertising tho -

Yes, you can - A friend brought his Glock 26 to a dinner meeting last evening. Guess what I'm going to buy ?? not his but I'll find one - The KelTec and Glock don't belong in the same category with regard to quality, so it's really not fair to compare them.

we had a couple weeks in Puerto Vallarta 3 years ago, nobody refused the US dollar. A couple vendors tried to get a more than favorable exchange rate but all you have to do is be a little savy and walk away, they usually change their mind. At the time I didn't have a Capitol One card and paid the price using my Chase card.
