I think the last M&E i went to we had to push that 2nd gen of yours just to get her to start. No tools needed but even my wifes shadow started without a shove from a 1st genner.:witch_brew: David

Just went to see this movie tonight. It was our pick for valentines day. We were both awe struck. And as for the story line I gues Im a big old softy as a few times I caught myself shedding a tear or 2. For me it would be worth it just for the scenery alone. I and my wife are big fans of mountain sceninc views. If youve seen the movie then I kneed not say any more. Ive always thought my favorite movie ever was the lord of the ring trilogies but I do believe this on just topped it. David

Not true, go back and read all of mine. I clearly stated what my next tat would be. Just put the other in there because the next will be to balance out the first. First tat represents my children and there mother. my next will represent me. David

I ve got one. twin dragons wraped around a celtic cross with my kids intials(spelling?) under each dragon. Their birthdate is under each dragon perspectively. Its on my right calf. My next one will be a pissed of dragon with a saddle on it. breast plate will be a garnet stone to match the stone in the middle of the cross in the other. On the dragons neck will be a chain that draps down to a man holding the chain. The man will be wearing a painters bibs and under him will be the words control the beast. Outside of left calf location. David

trust me Im the last person you would ever think of as a mechanic. The screws are located at the bottom of the carbs facing out. Its easy as pie. I do a search to get you a pic. Ok found one. The screw you want to take out is the one with the yellow lined arrow pointing to it. There are four of these screws. One on each carb. Just remove the screw and energize the fuel pump to flush out any crud. Repeat the step four each carb.it worked for me. This is an easy check. If this doesnt work along with seafoam then I would agree on professional help if you dont feel comfortable with a tear down. Ps this is the best pic I could find so ignore the red lined arrow David

Hey MOnty, Ive got a friend of mine that is looking fro one like that. he is good with his hands and turning a wrench. Just a little short on cash. He lost his job due to a heart attack and was let go because the company he worked for had to replace him because he was out so long. He was justb talking to me online the other day talking about how he would like to find a touring bike he could fix up without paying so much up front. David

Ok i had the same problem on my 91. What worked for me was a cmbonation of sea faom and draing the float bowls. Had one stopped up so bad I had to clean it out with a small papper clip staritened out and gently used to remove the gunk. What I did was to take out the screw to the float bowl and let it drain with the key of. After it drained i turned the key to the on position to energize the fuel pump.( do not cramk the bike just let the fuel pump flush the bowl). Do this one float bowl at a time. After this my gas smell went away and the leak stopped. I also run sea foam through it often. David

NHTSA Requests Feedback on Amber Turn Signals
painterman67 replied to Owen's topic in Safety and Education
I drive a 2004 e 250 work van daily. All it has is red lights on the back of it, and somehow peaple still seem to be able to see the light when I am turning. Now that being said, my first gen has dual amber flashers on the back of the bike. Just dont see where they get of saying that you will be seen better either way. David -
And if you watch the play again there should have been a flag. Manning was setting up to at least try to make a takle and was blocked from the back. Last time I heard they called that a clipping. David PS. and no Im not a Maning fan or a fan of his team . Im a Dolphins fan. Just think that the game should have been called fare , not for the team with a story.

I hear you, I avoid peaple pulling trailers like the plague. last year I had a 20 foot trailer come of the truck pulling it in front of me at 70 mph. Not fun as the thing crossed the four lane highway twice and then slammed into the concrete barrier in front of me. Luckily I got slowed down enough to stop . As I was getting off the bike there is where the luck ran out. Another car approching after the trailer wreck wasnt paying attention and plowed thruogh. HE can so close to me and the bike that I had to hold the bike up from the wind coming off his car. he hit the old man in the truck that lost the trailer.Turned out all could have been avoided as the trailer was being pulled on a 2 inch ball when it was supposed to used a 2 1/2 ball. got to bring the old girl home today. Wooo Hooooo it was nice to get on and ride even if it was only a little bit. After a month and a half of sitting in the shop waiting for tires and parts they called and said it was ready to go home. The ride was nice up untill the last half mile. In the last half miles the bottom dropped out of the sky and this cold, wet, white stuff was starting to stick to the rode. lets just say the pucker factor greatly increaded to the point that it was scary. but damn it was nice to ride.
