  5. digital gauge at home for bikes and cars. Opperations manager once told me that the tire pressure in my truck tires were 8 pounds low---told him he was nuts---he said he just bought his tire gauge---went and got our tire gauge and guess what---right on. He couldn't believe it. Needless to say, I didn't get wrote up.
  6. We are family and friends---will listen and offer advice or opions for what they are worth. Hope the rideing is going better.
  7. With rain--I just take it as it comes and slooow down. Unless I can't see because its to heavy and then I seek selter.
  8. Got me interested, and then no pics. Oh well, glad you had fun.
  9. On another note--everytime I've had to do it, I was on the high side and jumping down. Going up on the lip would create more difficulties. I probably would have hit the brakes also.
  10. That's ok Thom--as I get older, I notice that I'm haveing more brain farts. The kids are saying--Thats ok Dad, we still love you. We will just put you in a home sooner.
  11. It's for behind a motorcycle. Don't know if its from B & F Specialties or if its an Aspen. He just said it was a bunkhouse and B&F call's their camper that.
  12. I'm sorry---5' X 6' dressing room. I edited it just for you. Rule No. 1 on this site. Don't type with a hangover.
  13. 1999 Bunkhouse Camper King size bed with 5' X 6' dressing room Also has an add-a-room which when attached makes the entire unit 27 foot long. 78 yrs old says everything is in excellent shape. Haven't seen it yet--- How much is it worth ? It's only which it seems that I don't have enough of.
  14. Nice pics. Great rideing also, been to some of those place's on the bike also. Maybe you should nominate Charlie to head up the int. rally for 2010. Or at least host a long weekend up there.
  15. Man--you guys need to find better dealers ! I called mine from on the road going to the international rally to find out the best way to get to the speedo cable as it had come loose from the instument cluster. The machanic talked with me and then gave me his personnel cell number in case I had any other issue's on the road. Next time I see him, I will be giving him a nice tip. Thanks again to Herb and Squidley, they fixed my speedo and even let me help a little. Boy- do they like to wrench on 1st gens. Had to keep my tools away from them as they said I had enough to completely rebuild the bike. Oh no--not what I want to do at the rally.
  16. I found the receipt for my 86 earlier this summer. I paid 8,000.00 new out the door. I have 35,000 original miles on it now (plus or minus) Comes with cargo trailer. I'll sell if I can get that kind of money for it. Anyone interested ? Just come pick it up when the wife is not here, see loves our bike. I'll hide out for a couple of weeks till she calms down and then deal with her.
  17. Poor old lonesome me--I got to ride by myself today. Put on about 200 miles total. Ended up near Angola, Ind. and stopped by a friends for a couple of hours. The slow ride around a few lakes was nice.
  18. You guys are talking way over my head. I'll admit it I still have them developed and put them in albums. Guess I had better catch up with the times.
  19. Sounds like you had a blast. Great pics.
  20. Welcome Alan---Glad you joined. As you have already found out this site is one big family. Just post, you will get used to the computer and Annie can always help.
  21. Now with the flames, the RSV looks like Yam is trying to copy HD. Strat. kind of looks like a Street Glide, although a bit futuristic. Son just asked why Yamaha doesn't do something original. Said Strat. looks like a cross between a Street Glide and a Victory Vison. George Jetson syndrom.
  22. Wasn't someone talking about a dual purpose bike on here ?
  23. I said it in an earlyier post--They all have their quirks. I'm sure we all agree with that statement. The one thing I do like about HD is the fact that they have a lot of accessories to choose from to make the bike your own. You can buy Kuryakyn aftermarket accessories also at a lower cost than from the dealer. Yamaha had a contract with Drag Specialties in 86 that was suppose to be for 2 yrs and then accessories were to be available aftermarket. Yamaha pushed them into another 2 yr contract, so no dice buying other than from yam. at a higher price. I never did get everything I wanted for the bike because of that contract. You can also buy the same accessories for the Wing from Kuryakyn aftermarket. Yam. needs to step up on their thinking on several aspects. I looked at the accessories catalog at home for the RSV from Yam. , and I'm disapointed to be honest. Don't get me wrong---I still think the RSV is a great bike. Just pointing out some of the things I've noticed.
