After this weekend, I will be looking into the requirements for an Iron Butt certificate. Will be heading to Hope Mills NC at some point while down here, I see that Lexington is on the route, how about meeting up at some time. Daryl

Over 1400 mi in 2 days. Left Larchwood @ 6:30 am got to Indianapolis around 9:00 pm, took off from there around 7:00am arrived N. Augusta S.C. before 9:00 pm. Will be here till sunday the 9th..Had a great time getting here. Daryl

Check out my album pics, have a 15x30 carrier on the hitch. Total weight today was 50#. Didn't notice it behind, until I had to get around in a parking lot, front end was a bit squirrelly, just have to play with air pressure and see if I can get it better. Will be takeing it to Augusta Ga At the end of the week. Have put about 500 mi on with it hanging back there. But just got new tires on Fri. and things feel different now. Daryl

Took rubber off, the bib is too long, sticks past front of tank almost an inch, will cut off extra and velcro it down, if this is the way they fit no wonder they aren't made anymore Daryl

Got mine thru Harbers in Viola Ar today. Now how does it go on. Do I take tank rubber off, then put it on. Doesn't seem to fit very well. Daryl

Too bad, I will be going the other way, thru indianapolis then either cinci, or louisville on the way to augusta that weekend, 8/1. Other wise you could camp out here for a night. Sorry Daryl

I am in the later stage of planning trip to North Augusta SC in first week of August. Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for camping spots. Have not completely figured out route, was hoping to say off interstates, but may have to yet for short time frame. Mapping program doesn't show towns very well. Thanks for any help. Daryl :cool10:

I think my boss has a set, HD OE slip ons,he will sell for $40.00 plus shipping. They are off an 02 Electra glide. Will fit like the roadking, but no slash or downturn, have a set on mine and like the rumble. Let me know. Daryl -

Another problem with ethanol, it absorbs water very quickly and we all know water doesn't burn very well. I stay away from ethanol as much as possible, but many states are requiring an ethanol blend, have to use all that ethanol the government is paying for some how. Daryl -

Have them on my 08, need the band and brackets like the roadkings, nice sound, not overly loud just mellow, like the '57 chev 283 with thrush mufflers and full pipes Daryl -
Yes, would cost as much as buying one, and you most likely have a 6.5 ft bed, Bummer. Lost my truck when I let my youngest use it, and some one ran a stop sign. Daryl
