Yea...and the frogs...and the manic rooster next door. I do have a sad thing to report though...after enduring for several years, the pond monster sign finally blew away this fall.

Well, I understand how you guys feel and I felt STRONGLY that way last year and I think we punished them by nobody staying there last year. I've mellowed a little now though. They screwed up one year and we punished them the next year. I am personally willing to give them another chance. I'm not trying to tell anybody where to stay and I think that the Quality has treated our members well also. I'm just saying......unless they screw up again...I'm willing to let it go. Now that being said, I KNOW where I'm staying. AT HOME.

Here you go. Now it probably won't be for your year model but they have not changed at all since 1999. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1828 -

OK.....I am mistaken then. Have you tried sending me a PM today?
-
Jerry, I would love to help but I have looked and looked and see no problem on this end. I even logged in under your name and sent a test PM with no problem. You say it is every time you send a PM but I think I got a PM from you about this a few days ago. Try to send me another one and see if it works.

OK folks, I got a call from Dean a few days ago, username dksmith196958. His shop burned down a few weeks ago and his bike was heavily damaged. The insurance company wants to total it but doesn't want to pay him what he thinks it is worth. Basically the only damage is to all the plastic so he is looking for any parts that our members might have available. The bike is titled as an '85 but from his description, slant bags and the small trunk, I think it is probably an '84. So, if you have any parts available, please post here and I'll get the information to him. He has no phone or internet service right now as the wiring going into his home was burned and is not up and running yet. Just let me know either here or via PM what you have and the prices that you are asking for them. He also mentioned that he would consider buying a complete bike if that is what it takes.

I've been watching ever since you first posted this and I have yet to have it happen to me. I've also received no other reports so I honestly don't know. I'm thinking gremlins or one of Boomer's pygmies made it to your computer.

OK folks, I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to pick a winner but I'll come up with something. As you know, one of our vendors is F4 Customs. They make a great windshield for the RSV and several here have already purchased a shield from them. Don at F4 has contacted me and expressed his desire to give away one of their shields to ONE lucky member here. Now here is the thing. The shield needs to go to somebody who puts a considerable amount of miles on their bike each year also a person who will share their experiences with the shield. He is not asking for simply a rosy picture but an honest evaluation of what you like about the shield as well as anything that you would like to see changed and/or improved upon. So, let's here your pitches. Why should YOU be selected to receive a free windshield. How many mile per year do you ride and do you PROMISE to post your results with the shield. hmm.....a thought just occurred to me....and YES...I do have a thought every once in a while. I think I'll let F4 Customs monitor this thread and choose the winner. All that being said, let the games begin.

The intercom is indeed hot all the time. You are also correct in that it does pick up a good bit of road noise. What I and several others here have done is install the Mic-Mutes. It allows you to toggle the intercom on and off and, in my opinion, is a vast improvement. http://www.mic-mutes.com/

In my opinion, the answer is no. You might make a sleeve or something and get it to work but it won't look very good.

Seems I now have a '99 pogo stick

I think this is the post you are looking for. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=510118&postcount=19 -
hmmm......maybe.....I didn't spend a lot of time looking through everything but on their main page, they clearly mention Bluetooth. http://www.cellset.com/Motorcycleitems.html

Yep...it's almost sad in a way. I don't know what to do with myself if I don't have access to the Internet, email, etc. I was in Gatlinburg last weekend and the cottage that we had rented had no internet. I did use 3G service by tethering my phone and that got me by. A little slow but a LOT better than nothing.

I am sure that Kennedy Technology has everything you need. Figuring it out is another story. http://www.cellset.com/multigps.html

Removing your name was probably the solution. I have the forum set to reject anything with your name attached to it.

I don't think you really need a guide. Just remove the 4 screws in the bottom of the trunk. Slide it back about an inch and you should line up with the other set of holes.
-
Jerry, I just logged in under your account and it is working fine for me. That tells me that it is something on your computer and nothing with the site. I'm not sure what would cause it though. I would recommend that you clear your history and browser cache and then try again.

I've still got a set that my parents bought me when I was about 10 years old. I actually set it up about 5 or 6 years ago for a few days. I bought a couple of new cars and thought my son would like it but he really had no interest. I remember spending hours racing those cars. It is a large track with a Monza wall and I three levels of twisties, crossovers, etc. 1/32 scale. It's all packed away in the box again now.

I've had a few problems with PayPal also. Nothing major but I'm getting close to the point of not really wanting to deal with them any longer. I just hate to inconvenience the members here by not taking credit cards for memberships and PayPal is the only way that I can do that at this time. I often wonder how many members we would lose if I went to checks and money orders only.
-
I can adjust that time but I wouldn't want to go any longer because there are other things affected by it also. 10 - 15 minutes shouldn't be an issue for anybody. It is already set at 1800 minutes.
