Folding backrest for stock seats?
roadwarrior replied to Monsta's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The Diamond R made more differance in the comfort than I ever expected.I have had several people ask about them. They are expensive but I feel they are worth it. -
After market seats for RSTD
roadwarrior replied to roadwarrior's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
They are located 30 minutes from where I live and everybody that has used them has been extremely satisfied. They have many options one of which is reshaping plus both gel pads and memory foam. http://hdforums.com/forumid_314/p_2/tmode_1/smode_1/tt.htm http://www.meancitycycles.com/motorcycle_seat_modifications.php -

I have the custom Dynamics light and it works great! It only took 5 minutes to install.

I found out from Diamond R that do not offer the backrest for the RSTD any longer.

I had originally had taken the bike by his shop to inquire about him putting in some gel pads and after I had seen some of his work I walked out wanting some tan leather seats.I guess I need to order a backrest so he can do it as well.I posted his website in case anyone else is interested. http://www.interiorsbydean.com

I have emailed them and will hopefully have an answer soon regarding the RSTD.

I was visiting a shop that specializes in custom Motorcyle and vintage car seats.I have a pearl 2006 RSTD and ask his opionon about recovering my saddle with tan leather. He thought it would look great but warned me that most all bikes other than custom choppers have black seats and it may effect the resale value.I have seen RSV's with the tan leather and personally like the way they looked.Any thoughts regarding breaking the norm or pics of bike with the tan leather saddles?

This is more for looks and performance.I have all the right things to wear and a set of bubs on the way.I think Rick Butler can take care of my seats if I can figure out how to get studs put on the seats.(suggestions appreciated)So far this is what I have ordered: -Yamaha Billet Carburetor Covers -Yamaha Chrome Metal Fender Tips (Front) -Yamaha Chrome Battery Side Covers -Billet Brake Pedal Cover Billet Brake Pedal Cover - Chrome saddlebag rails -Chrome floorboard covers -Yamaha Billet Passenger Floorboard Backing Plates -K&N air filter -Luggage rack- 21 replies

I have a 2006 RSTD with a budget of $2000 to spend on my bike.I do not see that many RSV or RSTD so I do not have the benefit of seeing how the accessories look on the bike.I am curious how the members would spend the money excluding pipes and seats?

Well it is comforting to know that I am not the only one that has experiened the humbling experience of dropping the beast.I have dropped mine twice, once in my driveway making a slow sharp turn into my garage in front of the neighbors ,and once in the parking lot of the Police station giving several officers a good chuckle. Does anyone have their drop taped? My neigbors descibed it as watching the guy on the old show Laugh IN fall over on his Trike at low speed.

Do you think they would fit my 2006 RSTD?

Bubs installed - To Re-Jet or Not to Re-Jet
roadwarrior replied to 2Whlsrollin's topic in Watering Hole
I have also heard that at very least put in a K&N air filter -
Does anyone know if it is neccessary to rejet if you add the bub slip ons?I have heard conflicting data.
