  4. The way it worked for me is I took to the Dealer said it was chirping and I wanted the basket to be replaced. He stated he would have to verify the noise and get Yamaha to agree to replace it which they did.He said Yamaha's position was it would reduce the noise by up to 60% which is about what I am getting.Good Luck!!

  6. I live in NC and was told the HID H4 headlight and the led cluster turn signals are not DOT approved.Does this mean they are illegal and a LEO will pull you over? Why would they be illegal for bikes but not cars?
  7. Well this is what I ordered for my rear turn signal. What do you think? http://www.customdynamics.com/Images/3FunctionSmFINAL.gif Dynamic Clusters™ are a multi-color LED Clusters used for rear turn signal applications. The clusters contains 48 super bright LEDs. The outer ring contains Amber LEDS while all inner LEDs are dual intensity Red. The Amber LEDs are connected to a 1156 or 7507 base while the dual intensity Red LEDs are connected to 3' wire pigtails. These clusters can be wired as: Red low intensity Running light, Red High Intensity Brake Light, and Amber High Intensity Turn Signals, this allows your rear turn signals to be converted from simple turn signals to Dynamic running, brake, and turns signals, all in one unit!!! Installation is very simple, just plug the base to the stock turn signal housing receptacle, run the orange running light wire and the red brake light wires through the stock turn signal steams back to the taillight, connect the orange wire to the stock running light and the red wire to the stock brake light wire with the supplied posi-lock connectors. Dynamic Clusters™ can be used with Amber, Clear or Smoked Lenses, check out our lenses here. The Red LEDs are so powerful they will shine Red though most stock Amber lenses, however a more dynamic effect can be achieved with smoked or clear lenses. Dynamic Clusters™ have a Life Time Warranty Against LED Failure. Dynamic Clusters™ are NOT Dot approved, for off road or show use only. A load equalizer may be need to slow down turn signal flash rate. Need Help Identifying your bulb
  8. Steve, The Genisis is what I want to order.I called Custom Dynamics and the problem is we cant figure out which one in the amber color to get.My bike is not here so I cannot pull the bulb to describe to her. On the headlight is what you are referring to the same as a HID(Xenon).I hear the are really good in the blue as far as illuminationg the road and shoulders.I ride alot in the mountains and really have problems with the current lighting.
  9. What about XID?I know it is expensive but are they as good as advertised. My standard headlight is just not getting it for me.I am getting old and my vision at night is not what it once was.
  10. I have a 2006 RSTD and want some LED rear turn signals replacements and a replacement headlight (h4 or better) for better lighting.I am on Custom dynamics website but wanted to make sure I buy the correct lights. In addition does anyone know if I will need the load equalizer for the turn signal? I would appreciate your help.
  11. I think Steve will have 10 grills to sale between now and his surgery on Sept.3.I know I am getting one of them.He does really great work and we should all wish him well.
  12. I have had a HD and may have another in the future but the bottom line he is correct for many when he says it is a way of life.It is an egocentric way of life but it is a way of life.I have a young banker in my neighborhood that has a Harley. He was sporting a new POW-MIA jacket and helmet the other day and being a Viet-Nam vet I had to ask why he selected the jacket and helmet and he said"it is that Harley way of life look I am looking for"The reason the Harley riders say that is they are more interested in the appearance that actual riding.I doubt many of them would ride if it wasnt for the harley way of life.
  13. Can you shoot me over a smoked pork butt?
  14. Thinking about coming up early Saturday morning. How do I hook up with you guys?
  15. I have not had the opportunity to ride one but they sure look good.
  16. My recomendation would be the mountains of Southwest VA.I have a place in Meadows of Dan but that might be a bit remote, but Roanoke or Charlottesville would be nice and cool. All are great places to ride and land and housing is cheap in meadows of Dan. Western NC is nice, but property values are a little rich for my taste.
  17. There is a motorcycle campground in Williville VA and a little bar and grill (Tuggles Gap bar and grill) off the parkway in Floyd VA..I counted over 100 bikes all models and and types. It has great food and is right of the parkway.Soutern Virginia is my favorite ride.
  18. I have been riding the parkway this weekend and I believe there are more bikers than cars.I have met alot of great people.
  19. Cant beat the backrest.
  20. I would like to have one if it works.I do not want a false sense of security.
  21. Unfortunatly the course does not help when you are riding a crotch rocket 100MPH doing a wheely.I cringe everytime I see one of these young kids showing off on their crotch rockets.I hate to say it but they seem they are marketing crotch rockets to people who want to drive crazy.I saw on wreck last week doing 80 and doing a wheely on I-85 when he lost it.He was in front of a tractor trailer and it was not a pretty site. I have seen a alot of deer wrecks this year as well.
  22. I had my Bubs installed along with a K&N air filter and I have just a bit of improvement probally from the air filter not the bubs.
  23. I had my I-basket installed last week and the dealer said to expect to see a 40% reduction in noise. After riding it a couple of time I think it has been reduced about 50 or 60%.
  24. I have bought several things from the and always received good service.
