I have been using the Mobil 1 racing 4T, 10W40 Synthetic in my Venture for quite some time. It is a bit pricey tho! Because it is Synthetic I go 5K between oil/filter changes. Here is a Site where you can order the oil from....Shipping is free and they are very fast on shipping to you also! Link: http://www.eliteetc.com/index.html

Low Fuel light comes on: Cruise 15-23 miles before bike begins to sputter. Shift to Reserve: Cruise another 38 miles before bike really runs out of gas. That is what I have found and verified on my Venture.....3 times. Your mileage may vary....

I did mine this way.....plus used the wife's hair dryer to "soften" the double-sided tape.

I ran mahself ragged trying to find the Mobil 1 4T oil here. The Elite Site I posted has been super fast on shipping my oil to me. I buy 1 case at a time=6 quarts. Note: I add 2 ounces of SeaFoam to the oil as I am warming the bike up for a oil change. I also use a small block of 2x4 wood to get the scoot upright when I am draining the oil....that really helps to get ALL of the old oil out of the oil pan.

Last year I switched to using the Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w40 Synthetic. The scoot loves it. Startups are a snap especially in cold weather; the "whine" is almost non-existent; and shifting is smooth as silk. The 4T is on the costly side though at $12 per quart. IMHO my bike is worth it. To each his own I say. My oil and filter get changed every 5K....period. I order my oil from this outfit which offers fast free shipping:http://www.eliteetc.com/index.html

That is the most brazen display of stupidity on a motorcycle I have seen in a long time.

It certainly looks as if the Dealers and tire industry will NOT police themselves regarding the age of tires they sell to us. "Buyer Beware" is all we have to fall back on guys. As for the Metzler tires I would not be surprised to see them get hit with a class action lawsuit.....and they sure do deserve it IMHO!

Yep.....And it does not have a cassette player!

I'm sure there are many small seaboard communities that would love to have the $$$$ spent by bikers....and if not then organizers need to look to private property owners to host the biker events. With the economy in the toilet bikers will be the only ones with $$$ to spend....and to Myrtle Beach I gladly say "Adios Idiots!"

$700 will just about cover a whole riding season of Dairy Queen pit stops fer me......

The Welcome Mat is always out for Venture riders so bring it on. Ya don't have to worry bout chomping down on buckshot with the birds I cook/serve.....we nail em with .22 caliber head shots.

Canadian geese are good eating. All dark meat, no grease like ya get with duck, and the down feathers make for great pillows and vests. Besides oven roasting I also deep fry them in peanut oil.....Mmmmm....Mmmmm....GOOD!
-
Central Park is loaded with Canadian geese. City residents come outta the woodwork to feed them so the birds stay there instead of going South. Every year we have 8-12 of those geese try to Winter over here.....they are resting well in my freezer.

If I was on that Flight I'd be doing deep breathing exercises for a few days just to get my pucker factor down to normal............ The plane landed with a pressurized cabin....no damage suffered during the landing.....landing gear UP.....The REAR door was kept SHUT. Evacuation took place using the FRONT door only. NYFD Rescue Boats were on the scene within 2 minutes of the plane hitting the water. Only a well seasoned Pilot could have pulled off that landing and kept his wing tips out of the water. Amazing job IMHO.
-
Yep....There is a very large NYFD tugboat that has cabled the plane and is not only keeping the plane afloat but towing it as well.
-
Update: All passengers and crew safely off plane. Plane is now being towed by tugboats.
-
Fox News is running a LIVE feed on this tragedy right now......150+ passengers but no positive confirmation that everyone got out alive.

Driver's back rest

A riding buddy of mine had his Venture seat mod done by Rick Butler. As it turns out he sits deep enough into the seat so that having a backrest is not needed nor wanted. I'm hoping for the same results when I get my seat back from Rick. -
Joe I am sorry to see you in the position where you currently are. That scoot is really sharp looking and shows the good care you have given to it. Just a thought for you to ponder: If you belong to the Patriot Guard you could ask your State Captain to send out a Statewide E-mail (to the PGR members in your State) concerning your bike. Good luck with everything. I wish you nothing but the best. Regards and respect.....Boomer

If you think Yammi parts are expensive go check out the prices for Indian bike parts. That alone should make someone think twice before buying a over-priced scoot like that. Too rich for my blood and common sense.......
