    We are looking at the next 4 days with temps in the 40's. I'm hoping enough ice/snow melt happens so I can get a few short rides in next week. Boomer.....who is not religious but is prone to praying for good weather lately.

    If it were me I'd work a deal with Yammi on a new engine. The time/labor factor would be much less than a engine teardown and the scoot would be on the road much sooner. Whatever caused the problem with the current engine has not been brought to light. Yammi could tear down and inspect that particular engine to see if there is something that could be problematic for all engines of that make.

    Another helpful tip especially aimed at those in the colder climes: Being off the scoot for as little as 4 weeks relates to unused muscles that you need to keep in shape for riding. Exercising 3-4 times a week will keep you in shape and prevent a lot of sprained muscles and cramps once the riding season opens. My personal program includes sit-ups,jumping jacks,treadmill running,and dead weight lifting. My 2 sons work out with me and we all manage to do a good job of staying in shape over the Winter months. Boomer......running and panting towards Spring.

    Got 2 of those....plus a good supply of Glaser slugs. Question to stay within the thread topic: Do those alarm systems pull a lot of juice out of the battery? Boomer....who's current alarm system is a 160 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback.

    Considering what the Dealers charge us for parts and labor I don't blame anyone for trying to get repairs done under Warranty. As long as the Dealer is willing to give it a shot what's the harm? Has Yammi ever issued an official ruling about the Warranty concerning Ventures that have been Triked or is that already covered under "Modifications"?

    The only idea I can offer you is take the computer out to the parking lot and beat the darn thing into submission with a baseball bat. Boomer........who is known to have done just that with his last computer.

    Oh I am just loving the below zero temps, mountains of snow, thick ice,and enough sand on the roads to make a Sahara desert......Every night before I lay me down to sleep I ask the good Lord to send more snow and ice. Boomer....who is lying through his teeth and ready to kill Mother Nature.

    For kids from broken homes there is no such thing as normal. Do your best to show the kids in deeds as well as words that you truly love them. Make very sure you tell them many times that the divorce is not their fault....and keep telling them that. Support the kids endeavors and slack off any criticism you may have of what or how they are doing things. The kids are on a long painful road and its a lot tougher on them than what you and the wife are going through. Good luck, be patient,and God bless. Boomer

    With all the raves about this film at the Cannes Festival it's a shame that HBO sees fit to advertise the showing only on its Channels. The whole Country needs to see this film....and yes that includes schools/Colleges as well!! Boomer....who knows too well the duties of a Casualty Assistance Officer.

    Is there an easy way to check/tighten the upper radiator hose clamp without having to tear a lot of stuff off the bike? Any tips regarding this is greatly appreciated! Regards.....Boomer....who suspects a very small coolant leak from the upper hose.
