Dang it Monty....Now I'll have to get a few Red Snapper's and fire up the pit tonight. Boomer....who sez them pygmies are purty good fishermen.
  3. I ran through 2 sets of Commanders on my Venture before switching to the Dunlop E-3's. I'm impressed with the E-3's a LOT more....and they are holding up much better than the Commander's ever did. Boomer....who's sold on the E-3's....and the pygmies love the emergency stop capability in front of the DQ's.
  4. "But when with a group, I don't want to slow them down by doing too many stops." Yer gonna slow em down a lot more if ya run outta gas. IMHO ya stop when you feel you need gas and if dat's not understood by the whole group then you need to find a more suitable group to ride with. Boomer....who sez rushing from point A to point B don't add much to the enjoyment of the ride.
  5. If I had it to do over I never would have let my C50 Boulevard go when I purchased my Venture. That was the sweetest mid-Cruiser scoot I have ever owned and I loved every mile I put on her. Boomer....who sez hindsight hurts sometimes.
  6. Condor....I can ship ya a couple of pygmies to ride shotgun with yer daughter in dat Mustang. Neither speed nor boys will be a problem then. Boomer....Spreading the joy of pygmie ownership wherever he goes.
  7. Actually, depending on your HID setup, the standard light bulb can be easily put back in place. You disconnect the original light bulb connector from the HID harness, take the HID bulb out of the headlight, replace it with the original H4 lamp, and reconnect the original connector. I always carry a spare headlight (and taillight) with me just in case. I'm pretty sure Squid wired mine that way cuz he told me to store the OEM bulb on the scoot for use if the HID bulb went out on me. I'll have to check with him on this the next time I see him. Boomer....who sez them pygmies gnaw right through duct tape.....
  8. I have seen many postings here about the failure of the ignition switch....Mine failed on my 06 Venture back in 2009. It has been speculated that because the headlight is powered through the switch THAT is the primary cause for the switch failure.... and I believe that to be true. Squid installed the HID headlight on my scoot last year. He wired it so that the main power for the headlight does NOT come through the ignition switch. Since then I have noticed that the switch DOES NOT heat up as it did with the OEM wiring set-up.....Hopefully this will lead to a longer switch life. I still plan to have the By-pass switch installed just for peace of mind on the road. Boomer....who sez having a Colt .45 Alarm System is working very well thank you.
  9. Squid installed the HID on my Venture last year and it has worked perfectly every single time. I don't recall the wiring set-up he did but I know this: My ignition switch no longer gets hot or is even warm now. I don't do much night riding as I do not have back up lights to depend on if the HID pooches up.....Plan on adding those lights in the near future....and they will be on a seperate switch all by themselves. Boomer....who sez the pygmies are useless for holding flashlights to accomodate night riding.
  10. He needs to see Dance of the Pygmies along wit dat secret handshake. Boomer....who sez let de good times roll....

  18. Big Tom....Batten down yer hatches my friend. H*ll hath no fury like a p*ssed off pygmie or a drunken red-headed woman. A call to your National Guard may be needed to save yer a**............ Bubber....We faired OK with the bad weather. Rayne and Crowley took tornado hits with moderate damage and no loss of life. Here we caught heavy rain and a grunch of high winds.... which cleared the trees of leaves and p*ssed the local squirrel population to no end. Boomer....who sez he'll never live in SNOW country ever agin cuz it's too hard to knock dem icicles off his butt.
  19. Big Tom I'm glad you wuz successful in catching and disposing of ONE.....Try dealing with 24 of them little runts and you'll get more exercise than you kin handle.
